budget car rental

I'm looking for any budget car rental upgrade coupons.
Does anyone know of any sites that I could find a coupon.

On the Budget site, there is a link at the top for "specials." On that next page, about 2/3rds of the way down on the right side, you will see "Mastercard Promotion" That will bring you to a page that offers "Save up to 20% on a rental when you use your MasterCard® . Plus, get an additional 1-car class upgrade!" Don't forget the coupon, because you never know how long it will be out there.

You didn't say when you needed the rental, but this is good through the end of the year. (and it assumes you will be using a Mastercard, of course.)

Funny thing is - there is no place to enter the coupon, just the discount code. I called the help line, and she said that using the code alerted the agent that I would be asking for the upgrade. You may want to check that out, and post what they tell you.

I got the very best rental rate from that promotion, in addition to the upgrade.

I used this coupon last June and had no real problem with it. I got a great rate, too, but I had to ASK for the upgrade. The agent did not automatically offer it.

I went to there wbsite, printed off the coupon and we are set. We leave nov. 10. We have a family of 5 and are renting a taurus, which we all fit into now and what we will be taking to the airport, but I figured pay a little less for the car rental and get a free upgrade. So thank you so much for showing me the way to save some money.

We don't use Budget but use National, so we still have all the Budget coupons in our 2004 Entertainment book. There's several coupons: free upgrade / 20% Off weekly rate / $25 Off weekly rate / $20 Off weekly rate. They expire 12/31/04. Do you want any? Send pm with your address and will mail out.

Just want to mention that we just returned and used Budget. We had to wait for a car and so did many others. They said its the same with pretty much all the agencies as FEMA has rented alot of their vehicles and they are now short - so getting an upgrade may be iffy as just getting what you rented is not easy right now

Yes, I was wondering how long you had to sit there for a car. We will be arriving on the 10th of nov. which is a wed. I wonder if it will be the same for the middle of the week.

We arrived last Monday the 11th..our plane was actually a little late so we got to the counter about an hour after our original time..we waited about 10 minutes after doing the papework for a car however the guy told us had we arrived "on time" we would have had to wait as long and in a longer line.

There were about 5 other people waiting for cars when we were in line. One guy had a minivan reserved and they finally got him to agree to take an SUV (which is smaller)

The car we ended up with (compact) looked like the last resort car. It had 22,000 miles on it and was a base model (except it did have a CD player, ha!) It had alot of marks on the front and back bumper and the brakes made noises and the molding must have been loose on one of the windows as it always sounded like the window was down/not closed.

I have rented from Budget in the past with no problems. I think its just this FEMA situation that they didnt think about and now they are ALL tight on vehicles.

So basically it was probably approx. 30-45 minutes wait for some vehicles from what I figure.

Oh and it was about 7:15pm when we got in line..so not exactly the busiest part of the day!

Also..there were 3 people in line in front of us when we got in line and it took us 20 minutes to get to the counter.
