Does anyone have simple ideas to feed a team of 10 at a gym all day for a tournament besides subs?

What kind of team? If it is highly active they may need to carb up. However, don't want to carb so much that they will get tired quickly.
When my daughters had baton competitions they always had a snack bar at the gym... things like hot dogs, burgers and tuna salad sandwiches were the first to go, especially the tuna. Sometimes there were fries, but not always. Pizza was a big hit as well.
Make sure there is plenty of water; have bananas, grapes and maybe some sliced apples. Those were the always on the list foods in our cooler. We stayed away from the candy as they didn't need that much of a sugar rush.

We did build your own burritos....chicken, lettuce, rice, tomatoe, salse, tortillas. Have them build it on a tinfoil sheet, your good to go! :)

ETA: By at the gym all day I am assuming that you will not be going to anyone's house but staying AT the gym either at home or traveling, so I'm only doing 'fast food' things. If you have access to a house then that's a whole different story.

Pizza is what we do for basketball a lot, no silverware needed, don't need heat, etc.

We've also done chicken and fries from a local fastfood place, again no sliverware, okay if it's not hot.

We usually just send a parent out to the nearest place and they bring it back fresh and ready.

We do have a local place that does 'bag of burgers' where for like 7 bucks you get 5 burgers with just pickles/cheese/mustard/ketchup and they like those, but I don't know of any chains that do that.

We've also done snack bags where we took gallon ziplocks and put in bananas, orange, cheese/cracker packs, beef jerky, some gatorade/water and maybe a small sweet kind of treat like packs of cookies. Lot's of times the boys are back to back games and don't want heavy stuff so they prefer snacking throughout the day, so we eat a good breakfast then a big meal at night.

If you are needing to do an all day kind of thing - think about things you can put in a crockpot - sloppy joes, pasta with meat sauce and garlic bread, chicken/rice casserole, things like that. They will keep all day on low heat, can be eaten quickly, and contain some good protein and carbs to keep them going all day.

What kind of facilities are there at the gym? Our dance recital is held at a local high school auditorium, and we have a LONG day (we have to show up at 9 for the 10:30AM show and the second show doesn't end until about 9:30PM). A number of the Moms bring dinner in the crock pot in the morning and plug it in for the whole day (there are plugs all around the cafeteria and lobby that we use for dressing areas), they bring things like stew, chili, etc in the crock pot and coolers with other things. My personal favorite for the cooler is a rotisserie chicken and some pasta salad :thumbsup2 Some of the other moms also bring their small portable size propane grills with them and tailgate out in the parking lot in between the shows. Maybe that would be an option for your group?

This is for volleyball and often the girls have limited time between playing and scorekeeping for other matches. The facilities are always different. This weekend we will be at our home facility, but no time to leave. Would love to do crock pot stuff, but not sure there is anywhere to plug in that would work. Trying to keep somewhat healthy, not greasy, so pizza and burgers are out. Love the bag to go idea though. May try to do crock pot another weekend.

We make ham roll ups, tortillas with a light coat of cream cheese and ham slices. Chicken strips cooked the night before, they will eat those cold. You can also have cups of vanilla yogurt and have fruits and granola to add to it. If you have an Arby's around, the kids will eat those cold as well and they aren't too expensive with the coupons.

We do walking Frito chili pie. Take a bag of corn chips, add chili, and cheese. Give child fork and they have a meal.. Works great for band days.

I would tackle the parents of the team and have them sign up for portions of a meal. So and so can bring a salad, so and so can bring yogurt, so and so can bring cooked taco meat, ect. to make a meal for everyone and then it costs less and you can control the health factor and aviod and allergins that you team faces :)

Do yuo have a fazoli's around you? They serve a pan of pasta with or without meat sauce for about $20. OR ... you could make it yourself

Then, have parents bring a couple of sides. We do this a lot and the kids love it.
We have parents bring 1 salad another couple people bring warm bread sticks.
