I have had some pop ups for a "buddy pouch" that goes near where the belt would be (but no belt necessary) and is supposedly great for just phone and keys. I like to take my sunglasses, phone and a sample size sunscreen into the parks but if I want to avoid the bag check I have to get my husband to throw it all into his cargo shorts. Has anyone used these and can you really avoid the bag check with them? And is it a lot like the old fanny packs, which I avoid since I saw pictures of myself wearing one? Thanks.

All bags has to go through bag check and most of the time you must go throug a meter detector too. Bag check is not that bad just takes maybe an extra minute or two

If they can see it, then you have to go through bag check. I guess if you want to wear it INSIDE your shorts and hide it, you might be able to get through without bag check.

Thanks. I'll pass. Last year the line for bag check at Epcot in the morning was insane, and I learned to just give my husband the bare minimum items and skip the bag. One bonus of the kids being grown!

We have them to wear on coasters at Cedar Point. If your shirt covers it (say goes about 5 inches below your waistband) you won’t have to do bag check. One thing about them is it gets hot and sweaty where it is against your skin. I like that it has the material that supposedly protects your credit cards from whatever devises criminals supposedly can use to get your info. The magnets clip on tight. It doesn’t hold much more than phone keys credit cards and a bit of cash tho. We don’t use them at Disney. Just Cedar point
