Bubbles or petals for a VERY small wedding?

I am thinking about doing bubbles for our walk back down the "aisle" but as there will only be 6 people in chairs waiting for us to go back down the aisle I don't know if it would even be worth it.

Thoughts?

For only 6 people, I would stick with petals. Also, bubbles might get on you and the soap is very sticky after they pop. You probably wouldn't like walking around sticky after your wedding.

Sticky would be bad... I can't imagine going to V&As covered in sticky soap...

Do you think the pictures would turn out well with only that many people?

With petals, you can get more "mileage"...people can take bigger handfulls and toss them. With the bubbles, you can only reload and blow into the bubble wands so fast.

The soap is not that sticky so don't worry. I had a Romona Keveza couture gown made of Italian silk satin and 50 guests and never worried about "bubble residue". (I love bubbles!!) I have seen gorgeous rose petal tosses so I think either would work even w/ 6 attendants. You need to pick what type of pic you want. Bubbles will fall gradually whereas petals will be instantaneous (all up at once and all down at once thanks to gravity). One bride w/ a gorgeous petal toss is dhay. Look at Dawn's pics. IDK your location but I think why not have a machine blow bubbles and your guests toss petals and you'll get both! You'll get the best of both worlds and it'll make for some cool pics!! :)

I would agree the petals might have more of an impact, and also adds a good splash of color. If it's not sticky a bubble machine could be rather cool though!

We used ribbon wands for our entrance-

Petals...they are so pretty and make beautiful pictures...plus for 6 people the petals will make more of a statement .

Does Disney actually rent out a bubble machine? I am having a very small wedding and want to do bubble shots!! :cool1::cool1::cool1:

I think it was That Disney Girl that posted that she had chosen to go with bubble and that guests tried their hardest to blow...so instead of getting that pretty bubble effect she ended up with bubble spit. I'm going with petals...

I had 15 guests at SBP and bought the organza bags with orange petals. I really wanted some petal shots and it was one of my fav pics. Let me know if you had any questions.

And thanks for the compliments Kelly!!!! :goodvibes

I love the look of petals but the church I am getting married at does not allow it. Bubbles are really cheap right now on a certain website if you are interested I can message you the website.

Thank you all for the advise. I was defiantely considering the bubbles as I can bring my own and don't have to go through Disney or find a company through which to order freeze dried petals. I am not sure I want to go through the hassel of finding petals and I'm pretty sure Disney's are out of the budget but the parental units (a.k.a the budget) are coming out in a week to discuss wedding stuff so we'll talk it over then.

Thanks again ladies and Dawn your petal picture is gorgeous!
