Bubba Gumps opening date?

Anybody hear anything? I was just down there last week and it doesn't look like it will be opening for awhile yet.
Hoping it will be open for our August cruise.

I have read that the one at Citywalk will be open on July 1st.

Sorry all. I think I posted in the wrong part of the board but yes I meant at Universal Studios Riverwalk I think it's called.

The Universal 360 sounds like it might be like Disneys Fantasmic.

Oh well I'll find out in 2 months.

Bubba Gumps was to the left of where the movie theater is. We just went to CityWalk to go to the movies. We didn't have to pay anything to get to that point.
Even the parking was free which I didn't expect.

There is a "Bubba Gumps" in Daytona Beach FL on A1A. I have been there one time. I won't go back. Very over priced. I am not going to pay $3.00 for iced tea.

City Walk is between Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure. There is no fee to enter City Walk.

We don't have a Bubba Gumps here...for me this is a place that I can do something "new" which equals fun. I am excited! Thanks OP for the post!

Since they don't have Bubba Gumps up here in Philly it is a place I can't usually eat at, as is Sonnys BBQ Pit.

We were there a couple of weeks ago and were a little disappointed that it was not open yet, since there's not one anywhere close to us. (We'll try it next time!) Hard Rock Cafe and Margaritaville are chains too (which aren't in our area) and we have to go to both on every trip to Universal!

We went to Bubba Gump's Bayside, Miami Friday and they said it would be a 45 minute wait. The kids said they would rather go to Hooter's and we did. I should say the wait for BG probably was due to the 250,000 people that showed up for the Miami Heat ticker tape parade. I have never seen that many people in my life! Biscayne Blvd. looked like MK on Christmas Day.

As there isnt a Bubba Gumps in the UK, or at least in Yorkshire this will be something new for us and we cant wait!

There's a Bubba Gump's in Times Square, NYC, too. I've never tried though -- I've heard enough people tell me it was only so-so and there are just WAY too many great dining options in NYC to settle for so-so. The wait is usually horrendous, too!

Disappointed it missed July 1st opening....they said another month yet....so, I'm guessing they're shooting to open August 1st.

We visited the one in San Francisco - but the wait was 45 mins and one of the kids wasn't feeling too good - so never got to try it. I'm not usually keen on chain restaurants (overpriced and over-rated) however I LOVE shrimp and seafood so may give this a go, but am waiting to hear what people think about it. There for 1st 3 weeks in August so hoping it's open then
