Need to find a place for dinner before the 8PM Blue Man Group show on Friday April 30th. My mom has mentioned Bubba Gump, but any opinions out there? I was also looking at Margaritaville...??

Thanks for any info!

:) I have eaten at both in New Orleans. Bubba Gumps is fun and cute with memorabilia. Food was pretty good. Margaritaville gave me the best hamburger I have ever eaten.

Between cheeseburgers or shrimps...I'd take shrimp.

Shrimp is the fruit of the sea. You can barbecue it, boil it, broil it, bake it, saute it. There's shrimp-kabobs, shrimp creole, shrimp gumbo. Pan fried, deep fried, stir-fried. There's pineapple shrimp, lemon shrimp, coconut shrimp, pepper shrimp, shrimp soup, shrimp stew, shrimp salad, shrimp and potatoes, shrimp burger, shrimp sandwich.

That's about it.

Actually, you won't be disappointed in either restaurant. Margaritaville has the margarita volcano and plenty of oppourtunites to sing along to Jimmy Buffett songs...My lost shaker of salt, Salt, Salt, Salt!

Bubba Gumps will give you the oppoutunity to show off your Forrest Gump/Tom Hanks trivia and have some good fried food.

I would go for Margaritaville. We ate at Bubba Gump several years ago at CityWalk, and all I can say is yuck. We did enjoy it when we ate at a Bubba Gump in Charleston a couple years before.

It is important to note that if you are an AAA member, many restaurants at CityWalk offer a 10% discount on food and merchandise. This is definitely true at Margaritaville and Hard Rock Café.

We ate there & liked them both. Margaritaville had more interesting food, but my mom thought it was sooooooooo loud! We went to Bubba Gump because I had an obsession with that "bucket of boat trash", and I loved it. Their caesar salads are really good too and it was only something like $40 for the 2 of us. Margaritaville was more expensive.

We have been to both and have enjoyed both very much.

We have been back a few times to Bubba Gumps our children love it.

While we liked the atmosphere and memorabilia at Bubba Gump, we thought the food was just OK and pretty pricey for what you're getting.

We gotta bellyful for a family of 4 and the food to us was great.

It all depends on what time you eat there imo, cuase I've heard mixed reviews on this.

When we ate there around 6PM,the steak, crab stuffed shrimp, hamburger and the mahi mahi was great. The total bill, with my love of BEER,came too $80 w/tip and this included onion ring appetizer!!

Don't forget about Bob Marley's Taste of Freedom. If you like "Island" cuisine and a fun atmosphere.
