Bubba and Tink Final Update 11/23

This needs a BUMP !!! Plans for Universal are almost complete !!I used OpenTable and secured a lunch ressie at Finnegans , Unable to get one for Margaurittaville , not sure if it is the Number of us or they aren't taking them !! I am happy to have the 2 in the Parks though as I figure we can find somewhere on Citywalk . I am assured by The Darkside Experts that you can make them that day sooooo we will see !!Carol is with me we don't like NO Dining plan and 6 montnadrs being all set!!
Will try to finish up Cape Cod Part 2 this week and then zone in on Universal !!I have had a lot of help from the Darkside experts who are every bit as awesome as my Disney buddies !!

I think you might be able to call Margaritaville directly for a ressie if your groups is over 6 but am not positive. Generally they don't take ressies at all and the wait isn't horrible, if there is one at all. If you have AAA, use it, you'll get 10% off! Actually at most of the Universal/Citywalk locations AND the retail!!!!

The Squealing Pig had been mentioned and I checked out a couple on the way Governor Bradford was one , looked nice but I had a feeling it would take longer than we had soo I kept looking . I found The Squealing Pig and was reading the menu when a "woman" who was outside smoking started talking to me !! Her breath nearly intoxicated me After the first sentence she informed me she was Gay and her wife was inside , she continued to talk as I tried to finish reading !! I started to leave and she called me back and smiling asked me if I wanted to join her for a drink!!

Dan was not around to capture this on camera as I am sure he would have been only too happy to do !! So NO it was not Dan who got HIT on but me !!!

Rosie, you need to do a better job of anticipating these magic moments in your life so you can have the paparazzi around to capture them for you! I mean first the torpedoing and now your coming out party……….
As for Dan getting hit on, it’s probably a good thing he wasn’t walking around P-town still carrying that spoon in his mouth……..

Carol is feeling so vindicated that it has now also happened to me !!

I really don’t think getting hit on by Elvis, and getting hit on by the squealing piglet are quite the same……..

Dan and some of the guys looked around the store attached to the Pirate's Museum while I waited in line to board . Dan and Marv joined me

Wooden Marv got to go on a whale watch!!!

Whale Watch over we headed to a fast food place I had located after being HIT on . It was called BURGER QUEEN!!! The food wasn't bad and the price was right !!

Okay, it is settled. Your new companion is the Squealing Pig, and you are the Burger Queen!!!

The next day we were off to Plymouth and the Plimoth Plantation!!Dan could have spent 2 or 3 days here , he LOVES History and The Plantation is all about just that.
We stepped up to the counter and as we always do asked about discounts , I knew I gor a senior one (no comments boys )Dan could get a student one and I had AAA so we were shocked when the girl told us that the special needs were FREE and we still got our discounts so total for all 10 of us $56 !!!!!!!! Later found out she was wrong we were Free and the guys were $12 each but still an awesome discount !!They said we were fine for today but for future that was the rate !!

This Native was repairing the roof of a lean too and wood have been of great interest to CarolE due to his scant clothing !!There were a few raised eyebrows from the gals !!!

We checked out the Winter Huts

Watched the Native women cooking lunch

Then went to have our lunch

We then went to The Craft Shop and watched pottery being made

Dan was feeling tired and so was Marv

Dan was in an exploring mood and discovered Marv had been here before us

We ate again at the Hearth and Kettle, only restaurant that has huge tables to accomodate all 10 of us !!And of course a little food porn

We did some last minute shopping and headed back for a Farewell Party

So now to Universal !!Tomorrow I meet with Patti from P&P for the final details !!!We have one gal who is not going and I should find out tomorrow if a gal who went with us to Disney last year is taking her spot Sooo keep your fingers crossed , this gal has stayed in contact with me all year so I am hoping !!!

So Day 1 Thursday Sept 20th:

We will meet 5 at the Buffalo aiprort at 5:45 amOur flight ( Airtran leaves at 8 a.m and is straight thru to Orlando , arriving at 10:30a.m . Here we will be met by the wonderful TA Mary who is driving abou 40 miles to meet the 2 coming in from Albany !!Isn't that awesome of her , all due to my panic attack over different terminals.
Now if you use fuzzy math the total of guys is 7 not 8 and that's cuz I don't have the flight details of #8
We then have to find the Mears terminal/desk and catch our shuttle to Royal Pacific ResortHonestly the pix I have seen and what I have heard , we are gonna LOVE this hotel.

After checking in and getting rooms on the same floor as promised by the GM , we will leave our bags in thr omms IF they are ready , if not with luggage . Then we plan to take the Water Taxi to City Walk for lunch at Pastamore Market .
Before heading to Universal Studios

First will be for the brave souls

At least I think this is Rip Ride Rocket
Then check out DESPICABLE Me and ride if lines not horrendous ( sorry no pix )

Next up wood be Shrek and I can't find pix of that , but you know who he is his wifr is Fiona , then Twister and finally the Mummy.
If time allows we will move onto San Francisco and Disaster ( alias a Rosie Trip)
Would also like to squeeze in the Blues Bros if time .

Then the plan is to get supper at Marqueritaville around 6p . Still have to get a ressie there . All of this hinges on how tired the group is, but Carol and I are slave drivers so they prolly will be just fine

My plan is for a nioce little dip in the luxurious pool before bed and meds

Well...that sounds like a lot to get done to be honest. What time is your lunch ressie? If you land at 10:30 need to get luggage, get to RPH, go to lunch you might not take it into the park before 2. So allowing walk time that gives you maybe 3,5 hours for your ride/attraction list. Doable but it is aggressive.

Met with Patti today !! The newest edition is a definate and is thrilled to be travelling with us again!!Hve all our papers for flights from Buffalo, Albany and Rochester !!!! # different flights to negotiateThank goodness for Mary the TA Mears transportation is all prepaid and there were directions . Filled in the luggage tags . Tomorrow I will start packing as I am off !!The girls are going to a concert and I am Kyle sitting

You are also covering a fair bit of ground in your plan so that might not be possible, probably more spread out than it looks on a map. I'd move twister down on your list and disaster movie up but that's just personal preference and based on location. Make sure you see the Beetlejuice Graveyard review at some point during your trip, it's the best!

Okay, I just have no idea of time frames , I have a book and I read the info on each ride , but what I don't know is distance between palces and how long the waits are . I don't plan on pushing too hard we get done what we get done !!
