BTMRR Refurb?

I saw recently somewhere that BTMRR would be down for an extended refurb beginning in April, but now I don't see it. It's not on the refurb list here or on all ears. Anyone know anything?

Touring Plans is saying April through mid July...

But I LOVE the idea of it reopening in May since I'll be there in June!!! *fingers crossed*

The Big Thunder Mountain Railroad refurbishment has been pushed back to April.

Originally scheduled to begin on March 4 through to March 7, it is now scheduled for April 27 - 30, reopening to guests on May 1 2015.

I looked on wdwmagic.com, but I guess I don't see it. Maybe I am not looking in the right place. Our trip is 4/27-5/2, so that would make it down for most of our stay . However, maybe it has been changed. It's my daughter's favorite ride, so I hope so!!

It is rumored to go down for four months this year for the Disneyland upgrades.

It use to be on the Disney website, but they've removed it. Every other site that had it listed for refurb has removed it also, wroth the exception of touring plans. I don't understand why they're the only ones saying is going to be down and every one else is no longer saying it.

Ooh just checked touring plans, and they no longer show the BTM closure, maybe this is a good sign

IN my opinion it's a bad sign. The refurb would be a good thing in terms of upgrades to the ride.

I agree, I was just hoping to miss it for my trip. If we don't, it'll be ok, though. Well just catch it next time! Just hate for my daughter to miss one of her favorites! I do understand that there's no perfect time for everyone when they do refurbs.

I hope it's open my trip too. It was originally scheduled to close the first day of my trip.

I've never been and not sure when or if I'll be able to go back, so I really hope it's open.

I wish it would refurb too. The DL one is much better in comparison, as is a couple of similar rides IMO

This is my boys favorite ride! I know we all look forward to the upgrade, but i hope that it is open for our trip in May!

I hope it is open when we go in June. It is one of my DS's favorite rides. It was down 3 years ago when he went, and his DGF is joining us for this trip so I know he would love to share it with her. The fact that it's off touring plans now too has me hopeful!

I'm taking my cousins for a first visit in May, so I really hope it's open for them. On the other hand, I can't wait for the updates. I rode the one at DLR last year and it was so much better! I can usually take or leave it at WDW but rode it twice at DLR and loved it!

I'm going to let my family continue to think it will be closed until we get there in May. No point in risking repeat disappointment if it gets added back to the schedule. It's a favorite of ours, and everyone had already accepted that it would be down.

IN my opinion it's a bad sign. The refurb would be a good thing in terms of upgrades to the ride.

It needs some attention for sure. It feels like it's gotten really rough to me. Seems like the tracks or the trains themselves could use some TLC.

I saw a blog post last night that says it will be down from April 4 thru a date in August.
