BTM closed frequently?

I have been checking MDE and touring plans regularly over the past few weeks to get a sense of wait times for BTM...It seems everyday there is a period of time (often at the beginning of the day) when it is temporarily closed....Does anyone know why this is? And for how long it typically shuts down for?

It's undergoing a four week refurb (I believe in April and May?) of this year to resolve the many problems its having going down so often lately.

In addition, Splash Mountain is closed for refurb right now, so it puts a strain on it's sister ride, BTM.

May 4, 2020, through May 21, 2020. My youngest DGD was too small for her first trip, 2nd trip (November 2016) closed for refurb. We are going in late April, she is so excited that she will be able to ride it.

Rain? Whenever I'm not there and I see a ride like that down I check some of the others that close in storms see if they are closed too.

He is hilarious.
We saw both Splash and BTMR start late for technical Difficulties on our last trip. Splash seems to have that issue more than BTMR but refurbs for both are probably a good thing.
