Has anyone lately signed up to BT broadband, i have seen the adverts on TV, i had a look at the website.

Can anyone explain what home hub is.

They have some good deals on, but not sure if this includes my land line.

Basically my land line is with BT, well we pay the line, but pay phones calls through our internet provider, it comes to £30 plus phone calls each month.

And if the BT includes our landline it should be cheaper to move to them.

The BT Home Hub is basically a wireless router so you could for example have two PCs in two seperate rooms sharing the same broadband connection at the same time. It will also eventually enable you to watch TV on demand over your internet connection.

I am on BT Broadband Max, which is a max of 8mb, but I will get (once they sort it out!!) 6.5mb.

You can get your own ADSL modem/Router with four ports or more if required and attache by ethernet cable your main computer direct, then add to one of the other ports a WAP (Wirless Access point) which will do the same

You also get 250 mins a month free use of BT Openzone, their wirless access point dotted around the country including airports

Finally, you can get the BT Broadband talk, which gives you unlimited phone calls to land lines across the UK free after 6pm every evening plus all weekends.
