Hi all,
am still planning our trip to DLP next september and i have pretty made up my mind about getting a private shuttle from/to the airport.
BS seems the cheapest and tonight i sent an online reservation form to make sure the price i had read was right (with Greyshuttle it wasnt).
Well it took a few mins to have back an email where they confirm the price, ask for more details and they say they just want cash - no CC - and so you can pay to the driver when you arrive :woohoo: .
Now i am always a bit worried when you dont pay in advance as i feel more confident i get the service if i have payed (does it make sense) :confused3 .
Has anyone used BS and is it safe to book it online and most of all do you really find them there waiting for you even if you have not given them money   ???
And is it too early to book a shuttle or is it ok do it now:confused: ??
Sorry am a pain i know ;)

We have used them twice and will be using them again next week.

I was a bit apprehensive like you on our first journey but they've always been there for us.

I used them and found their service to be fantastic. They were waiting in arrivals with a sign announcing my name, the car was parked immediatley outside and from collecting our luggage we were at Santa Fe within 40mins!

I booked a couple of weeks before my trip but I presume it wouldn't be a problem when you book.

Ciao Giulia...

We used BS TRansport and they were great. Our plane had changed terminals and at first the driver was not seen..after waiting for 15 min he showed up running with our name on a sign. He had been waiting at the first terminal..and when he saw it had been changed, he called my cell phone. When I made the reservation I wrote my cell phone..the only problem was that I had forgotten to turn it on when we arrived to Paris..( I was not expecting any calls).
He had called to say he would arrive 10 min late since he had to move the van to where we were.

On the way back they were 10 min earlier..which was good since we were all ready to come back.

We paid cash €140...the first time we paid €80 and on the way back we paid €60 plus tip both times. The great service made us want to tip them at the end.

Don't worry you booked perfect. If it makes you feel better why don't you send an email a week before your departure...that is what I did. When we were picked up I checked to make sure they had my return date on it.:)

I have booked them after reading all the favourable reports on them on here.

I wouldn't worry about your booking being too early, Giulia ~ I have already booked them and we aren't going until October! :rotfl:

Thanks everyone

I have just sent back the form with the arrival and departure's detail and now i wait for BS' confirmation and then it will be done

It's great to know everyone was happy with BS' services as they are the cheapest too:banana:

Me again :cutie:
i have just got an email back from BS Transport and they say they will meet us at the airporton Sept 16th

Hi,
Sorry if im being a bit dim but where can I book BS? Its my first time so this is all new to me! Im also not sure what terminal my flight is flying into at CDG, how would I find this out? I booked direct with BMI Baby online and it doesnt say anything about terminals!
Thanks in advance,
Ruby xxx

Hi there Ruby, i booked via their web site http://www.bstransports.com/ it's easy and they send you a confirmation email in minutes, well they did with me :rotfl:
They need to know your flight number and can sort out your terminal arrival then.
:hippie:

When booking a taxi how far in advance of your flight do you try to arrive at the airport? For a flight at 20.00 is it OK to say we want to arrive at 18.30 or is that cutting it a bit fine? Should we say 18.00? Don't want to have to wait for ages at the airport, but I know CDG is huge and could be busy.

Our flight is at 4 pm and i have said we want to be picked up at 1 pm.
I assume it takes about one hour to go to the airport (should be 45-50 mins really but you never know) and CDG is very big and i dont want to lose the flight just because we are late and cant find the right terminal.

We've asked to be there at 19.00 hours for a 21.30 flight. I would rather be there early than en route worrying. Perhaps it would be better to ask to be there for 18.00. :)

Yeah you're right. I just hate hanging about at airports, but it would be awful to miss the flight. We've asked to be at the airport for 6pm.

It a few weeks yet, but I'm getting dead excited now :yay:

I have another dumb question I'm afraid. I have recieved my confirmation from BS and it says I should reconfirm with them. Do they mean now, or nearer the time?

No, it's not a dumb question. I took it that they meant now and sent one off straight away.

What have other DISers done??

Hi

We used them last easter with no problems at all.
The only thing I would say is that they dont seem to do baby seats - only boosters !

I used BS Transports again - got back yesterday. Found them to be excellent as before. My DS is age 3, on the way going the car had a booster set, but on the return journey it was more of a full proper car seat, don't think it would be suitable for an infant of say just a few months, but it certainly would be fine for a small toddler.

As far as l know once you've received the email from them showing all the details of your booking they mean you to reply at that point confirming that they have got all the details correct. I did that and they sent an email in reply saying it is confirmed. At the beginning of last week, about 2 days before my departure for DLRP they even telephoned me to reconfirm that my arrival flight time was still the same (they didn't telephone the year before as l had notified them by email about a change in the flight time).

As before when we came out of the arrivals area the driver was waiting with a sign with my name on it, same thing when they came to pick us up at our DLRP hotel for the return journey to Beauvais Airport. I can honestly say the service l have received from them has been excellent. I have recommended them to lots of people and so far :fingerscrossed there has been no problems.

Lots of people seem to be using them for transfers to DLRP - yesterday our driver said they had 30 DLRP transfers booked for the next few days.
