BRV Availability in late September/October - future dates unavailable

Did anyone else notice that future dates - Sep 30 to Oct 2 - are blocked off already? I grabbed a BRV Studio this morning and tried to book a week, but could only get 9/25 to 9/30 because the remaining dates in the week are already blocked out.

Do we think that Disney is going to do the refurb in the middle of Fall Frenzy? Otherwise, there's something weird going on here, since I could get 9/25 to 9/30, 9/30 to 10/2 should still be available.

I think thats a pretty fair assumption that they are aiming for that time period for the renovations with those dates pulled across studio and two bedroom room categories. I guess we will find out more in a few weeks.

No issues for booking that date anywhere else right now...just BRV.

Interested to see when the start date is announced for. I have to think it will take at least 8 months to do a full refurb though if not more right? Was bound to cover some of the fall no matter when they start? Thinking we are just seeing these dates disappear because summer dates into September aren't priority bookings. October though with Epcot 40th, probably made it noticeable, that the refurb will cover at least those dates.

Right? I was like - you can't seriously be doing this in the most popular time of the year for booking BRV, can you?
I'm really hoping it's some kind of glitch, but I'm going to be more than a little mad if they reno is happening in the fall. I had really hoped the reno would happen early in the year, and latest in the summer, but I certainly was expecting it to be done by Thanksgiving, not STARTING at end of September/early October.

BWV and BCV were both under full refurbs in the fall of 2015...not ideal, but certainly not unprecedented. How long do you guys anticipate it taking? I was thinking 8 months on the low end...you guys think less than that?

BRV is the second-smallest resort at WDW. 136 total units. 8 months suggests they can only really do 17 per month, which seems low when you consider the run times of the OKW refurbishment. (I'll gloss over SSR, given pandemic and the lawsuit involved.)

Dates are wide open now for BRV (all room sizes).

I think it's more of a sign that there may have just been some sort of glitch showing a lack of availability.
