The case: just me and my ch, Greg. (me, 50'ish, him, late 40's). Newlyweds, just married April 1, 2001.

Got up, dressed and took the bus to Pleasure Island and then walked over to the House of Blues where we had reservations for the Gospel Brunch. This is really neat for those of you who like Gospel Music (and even if you don't think you do).
First of all, be sure to bring ID if you're picking up your tickets. They wanted ID for both Greg and I (to be sure I wasn't bringing a stranger? I don't know why). You will have assigned seating. We had made our reservations about a month before and had a table right in front which we shared with a family from California who had just flown in the night before. The food was GREAT! Jambalaya, beans and rice, peel-your-own shrimp, omelets made to order, pastries, bread pudding, RIBS, prime-rib at a carving station, I just can't remember it all. Oh, biscuits and gravy, we're Northerners, have never had that, but it was YUMMY!!!! Be sure to get all the food you want either before or during the gospel show, because when they're done singing, you're out of there! Since we had these front row seats and didn't know how it worked, we didn't want to be rude and walk over to the food during the show, we thought we'd wait till afterwards, but uh uh, it was over, so we never made it to the pastry-side of the buffet line (NOT that we didn't have enough to eat by that time though.)

Then we did a little shopping at DDT, then took the bus back to POR. We put on our shorts (got warm again), and walked over to the French Quarter to look around - very nice there too.

We then took a bus to EPCOT and meandered around Innoventions for a while (sent a couple of e-mail videos), wandered past Canada and watched Off-Kilter, and then to Japan, where (believe it or not), it was 5 o'clock (we're good at meandering) and we figured we'd eat. So we ate at the Sushi/Tempura restaurant. (Of my favorite food groups, fried.) The batter fried veggies and shrimp and chicken were so good, the batter coating was very light. The Sushi was good too! No room for dessert.

Afterwards, we watched the Tapestry of Nations parade (got to admit, not a big favorite of mine, but we were there), wandered back past Great Britain (bought a bottle of Burberry perfume), past Canada, watched Off-Kilter (again)(did you know they're NOT from Canada, my big disappointment of the trip) One of the guys is from Canada, one from Ireland, one from Florida, and one from that favorite southern Canadian province, Puerto Rico!! There oughta be a law! But, I like them anyway. Then (sigh), back to the resort to (sign again), start to pack. :(

I've always wanted to do the Gospel Brunch. Thanks for the tip about eating. I would have been like you and not wanted to disturb the show.
