This morning's Orlando temps are only in the 30's. They are predicting lows in the 30's and high's in the 50's for the next few days.

Of course, here in CT I woke up to 2 this morning and I'm sure it's much worse in other parts of the country! ;)

Chilly in Middletown, CT too!

I hope El Niño or La Niña will keep us warm when we go to Disney this year. NOAA issues its winter weather predictions around October or so, based on what they observe.

We were there one year when we had to drag along our parkas anc jackets in December, and another year we were getting out of Kali River Rapids as soaked as a fish and did not feel the breeze...

Strange planet...

OH my!!! My dad must really be complaining!!! Tee Hee!!! They are snowbirds who go to Florida for the Winter months! He hates the cold and this must really have him fuming.

It is quite chilly for Fl. now. I'm going in a few weeks and checking the temps every day. I figure that not matter what the prediction, it will be warmer in Orlando than Carolina. I just do not want a cold and rainy vacation.

Can we expect that it will warm up, just a little , within the next 3 weeks? I'll be happy if it's 60 during the day!

Ugh, you and me both monalsw!!! I was hoping it would be atleast a little warmer than it is here in Tx. We're having some unusually cold weather recently. But so far the forecast (taken with a grain of salt ofcourse) are about the same for where I live and FL as far as I can get a weather forecast (through next Friday).
If the forecast is correct- I'll be happy with that. 60's during the day would be fab!!! (we've been in the 40's down to 20's at night- very unusual for us... especially if it lasts more than a few days- we'll see)
But if it's in the 30's & 40's during the day I will freeze to death. Even in jeans and shirt and pullover sweater AND thick jacket. I'm just not used to the cold weather at all! I'll be brrrrr'ing all over the place and probably hole up in my hotel room more. LOL

(definitely no wet rides for me! LOL)

I hope the forecasts are correct. 60's would be heavenly!

It's like 9 degrees here. 30 sounds like a heatwave.

I bet!!!

Just like when people talk about high 80's to 90's being so hot... even with the humidity I don't think it would bother me much. Not when I'm used to it being pretty humid around here in the summer where we have 100-110+ for months on end every summer. LOL

That's pretty wild that the temperatures are so low (for Florida)! While I hope that it warms up just a tad, I can live with those temperatures as that sounds pretty close to the weather here at home...

Okay, I'm here in south FL and it is cold! It's also cloudy, with no sun at all!

My DH and DS went to a picnic for DH's work and I had to go looking for gloves for my DS. My mom had picked up some for him once. He is five and has never worn them. It took forever to get him to try them becausue he couldn't get his fingers in the right place. It was hysterical!

My mom and her DH left this morning for AKL!!!!

She called me around 11am from her cell phone so I could be with her as she walked through the doors of the resort. She said it was very cold, but at least it was sunny!

When I went to bed last night it was 22 BELOW ZERO! Yeh, I'm way up north. We are going to WDW in 25 days anything over Zero is good to me. ;)

I hope it warms up a bit but I like it kinda cold at WDW. there is nothing like walking around epcot with a nice hot cup of hot chocolate to warm your hands. I love to feel the cold wind on my face on the astro orbitor and its good to see everybody fully dressed for a change :D winter is my favorite time there. I'm going in 11 days and can't wait! already got my gloves and earmuffs packed. Linda

MinniG, be sure to pack those swimsuits! The good thing about Florida is those temps can turn right back around again in a day or two.

I heading down in two weeks. Anyone visited the world during an Orlando cold snap? Though it is not very cold, any tips to consider during the visit? Do crowds thin out quite a bit? Any shows tend to be cancelled? I imagine with many attractions enclosed, not too much to worry about.
