What rates have you been able to book for the week of March 25th? I've been quoted $89.20 for values, $122.66 for moderates, and $185.10 for standardview at WL (nothing available at AKL????). These seem kind of high considering what we just paid over Christmas, which is supposedly a busier time of year.

The early part of December is value season. Did you go then?

March is peak season rates so those seem pretty good. Look at the rack rates.

Rack for value is $129.95

Moderate is $195.13

Wilderness Lodge is $333.39

Seems like pretty good offers to me.

Nope. We were at WDW for a week over Christmas. We came home Tuesday night/early, early Wed. morning.

In addition to it being peak season, most of the resort rates were increased in 2006.

We paid $56/night for a value at Christmas. They are discounted at $49 through January.

I have one of the $49 rates for Feb. 4 at Pop. Originally I booked it through the BRP for $59 a night (keep in mind this is value season and the regular full rack rate is $79, so a $20 a night savings), then I received an email telling me that the rate was going to drop to $49 for arrivals up to Feb. 4 (whew, just made it), so my rate actually did drop AFTER I booked it, so I added a couple of more days at the new lower rate. Rack rate for 2006 value season at Pop is $79 a night, I believe rack rate for 2006 PEAK season at Pop is now $115 a night. Since they are offering the March rooms at $79 a night, that is a $36 a night savings, while us in Jan/Feb are only get a $30 a night savings. Sounds fair to me.

Were you able to pull up $79/night? $89 is the cheapest I could find.

I stand corrected. Actually the rooms at the value resorts are $80 a night, not $79 a night. A savings of $35 a night vs the rack rate. Still a better savings than what we early Feb. folks are paying ($30 a night savings for me). I believe the quotes you have include taxes. My numbers are the actual prices for the rooms without the taxes added on. My $49 a night at Pop is actually around $55 once you add the taxes on. My next trip (after my Feb. trip) is April 23 at the BWI, but we are thinking of coming in one day early, and we will be in the same boat as you. One day earlier makes it PEAK season. So we will have to pay the higher rates for that Saturday night (April 22). Unfortunately for us, I don't think we will see any discounts between April 13th and April 22nd. I think the next round of discounts will begin April 23rd, but hope I'm wrong, or we won't be coming in a day earlier.
