I just bought my very first annual passes on Dec 30th (yay me!!) :cheer2:

However, now I want to ask a strange question.

If i were to call CRO, would my voucher #s be in the system? Could they give me one of the voucher #s so that I could book BRP online? Im betting this is a long shot but I thought I'd ask anyways.

Thanks!

I made reservations in December at the AP rate, but didn't purchase my AP
until 12/31. I called Disney between 2-5pm and was able to make the reservation over the phone (as I didn't even have a voucher at that point). I believe as long as you have an AP when you check in that they honor the AP rate.

Tiggerbug, Which resort, what rate, and what dates did you book. Thanks!

Yay!

I just called CRO and was able to make my reservation without my AP voucher.

I reserved:

Beach Club Mar 23rd - 28th 2006
Standard View
3 adults
5 nights
$342.30/night with tax and extra adult fee
$1711.50 total

The CM was really nice and assured me that the entire reservation could be cancelled without any penalty up to 5 days prior to our arrival.

   I'm thrilled because I didn't expect I'd be able to book and was worrying about all the negative posts about the BRP system. Im very calm and can plan to my hearts content without stress :)

I'd check the cancellation policy again as the BRP policy is one night NON-REFUNDABLE deposit. The 5 day cancellation is for a regular room-only reservation.

I'm not sure how the CM booked the rate. It sounded like she was searching through the regular reservation system, not BRP, because she said..."ok there is the regular rate...ah yes, i do have an annual passholder rate available" and made no mention of needing the voucher # or of a non-refundable night.

Even if the first night is non-refundable that is fine, but i dont believe it was the BRP system she was using...could be wrong

Hmmm....interesting...as far as I know the BRP is the only AP discount. Maybe she found some other discount for you. Have fun.

I am obviously a novice, but can someone point me in the direction of learning about BRP? I dont even know what it means. I have been to WDW 10 times and am going again in May, but I feel as though I am missing out on something. Thanks

BRP stands for Best Rate Program and its Disney's new form of Annual Passholder Resort Discounts. These discounts used to be released as codes but are now given through a website which only passholders can access. The website has been having many difficulties since it was released.

The best explaination of BRP that i've seen is found on mousesavers.com at http://www.mousesavers.com/newapdiscounts.html

Hope this helps :)

Tinkerbelle, that rate sounds like the BRP price. We have YC at BR for April 3-7 at $314 a night without an extra adult.

That helps a ton. I just ordered my AP's on New Years Eve before the price increase. I will check out the site when I get my pass numbers.

Bravemom3, I booked POR for 2/24-2/26 for $122/night (incl tax) and Polynesian for 3/2-3/5 at $336/night(incl. tax).
