Is there a fee if you change your ressie? I know there was one initially and one on the passholder site listed but I have been confused :confused3 by some of the post on here. Asking about if you change your resort or add or subtract a day?

Thanks again, Mky princess:

This is only from what I've read here--haven't changed mine, so I don't know 100%. But I've read they've dropped the fee.

I'm not 100% either, but I thought that I've read here that there is no fee if you increase the cost of your trip like adding days or changing to a more expensive resort, but if you cheapen the trip, there will be a $50 fee.

The offical web site no longer states that there is a fee for any type of modifacation. However, people have posted that they were charged if the change they made was decreasing what Disney was making prior to the change. I haven't tried it so I cannot say 100%. If I had to make a change that would decrease what Disney would have made, I think I would point out to them that it isn't on the web site or in the terms and conditions that I agreed to (unless the ressie was made when it was listed on thier site).

I just changed from CSR to Poly last night and my TA didn't say anything about a change fee. She said my original deposit was being refunded and the new deposit was being charged to my cc. I'll find out for sure once it posts so I can check it online.

I recently went from a deluxe to a value and dropped 2 nights and I was not charged a fee.

If you booked a BRP there is a 50.00 fee for modifications if the total cost goes down. If the cost stays the same or goes up the fee is waived.

My cost of my BRP reservation went down because I dropped down to a value and dropped 2 nights off my ressie and they did not charge me a $50 fee.

I just called to see about changing my 8 day stay to a one day and she said the fee was dropped.

But if you cancel your BRP to do something like book a mysterious new package offer that is too good to be true ;), then you still lose the one night deposit, right?

Thanks,
Tink

Yes, we will lose that. But, even without this new mysterious offer, I dropped mine anyway. Paying full price for the package with dining was still a better deal than doing room only and paying cash for food with the DDE card!
