Ok, this is the problem- we have free dining for 4 days. This means 4 CS and 4 TS. Should I use 2 of them to eat at the Hollywood Brown Derby for Diner, just pay for the Brown Derby and use the 2 else where ??? We do have PS at Chef Mickey for a late breakfast and Crystal Palace for diner. Any ideas would help. Also, they are telling me that we can't use the free dining for the Fantasmic package. So if I do pay for it at the Brown derby then I could get the Fantasmic package and is that worth it ??? By the way what is the Fantasmic package ???? Sorry to ask so many ??? this is our first trip with DH, DS'S 4 and 7. Aslo granpa and friend going along to but will be on their own. :earsgirl:

when are you going...if it's off season i wouldn't bother with the fantassmic package...we went i jan ( twice actually , first time left as it was too cold on those metal benchs) and had good seat no problem...get there 30-45 mins pre show for best seats

BD is a little expensive and is one of my fav rests. but i would balk at using 2 credits for it, it's not that expensive compared to some of the other 2 credits places imo. however if your other meal would be cheaper, go to Bd and pay for the other one.( ie CP is 25 an adult but the entree alone at BD is almost 25 so pay for cp)..check out www.allearsnet.com, menus for prices

I got the free dining for upcoming trip and made my ADR's awhile ago. Brown Derby is one TS Credit per person, not two.

maybe they changed it ...i was shocked to see it's listed as 2 ( just looked it up)

Really????? They better honor it as 1 for me!!! I made those ADR's a long time ago! :confused3

I just looked it up on the DU website. It's still listed as 1 TS. Where did you find it listed as 2?

i just made my PS today and the very nice lady said it was 2 whe even double checked my others for me. I have since decided to cancell the BD and go with Hollywood and Vine any one have any thoughts on this one ???

My TA made the ADR's. I'll call her Monday. I have the confirmation # all set for 1 TS. If they don't honor that, I think I might just get a bit annoyed. It's like raising the room rate after someone books and then expecting them to pay the difference when they check in, I don't think so!!!

It may not seem fair, but it is allowed under the terms of the program as promoted by Disney. From the brochure:

Operating hours, menus, entertainment, Characters, Disney Dining plan locations, components and terms are subject to change without notice.

They won't, any more than they are giving people kids prices for 10-11 year olds after the prices changed to adult.

It has been 2 credits for quite some time. Makes no sense to me as I can spend more on the dining plan at some of the 1 credit places, but that's how it is.

It's been like this since at least May.

As of late July when my ADR's were made, BD was 1 TS. When it switched to 2, I have no idea! I know Le Cellier used to be 2 and then it went to 1. I'll find out for sure from TA. If BD indeed went to 2, I will cancel my ADR. As much as I would like to go there, I don't think it is worth 2.

I believe BD has been listed as 2 TS since MYW was introduced at the first of the year. I don't recall it ever being "down-graded" to 1 TS.
We are traveling on the dining plan after Thanksgiving and I have been keeping my eye on it since January. It has always been a favorite of ours. We won't be burning another TS credit there, I don't see the value.

Well I guess I was misinformed. On Dreams Unlimited website it is in the TS column and not the "Signature" column like the other 2 TS restaurants are. And my SWV TA never told me it was 2 until I just got a email answer from her about a hour ago. Why she never told me when I asked for the ADR, I'll never know. Now I'm in a quandry as to what to do. I'm leaving in 7 days. I guess I'll play it by ear and if I decide to cancel, I'll do it when I'm down there and hope for the best. Thanks for your responses and my apologies to the OP for hijacking your thread for a bit! :goodvibes

it looked to me like that is the only one in the parks except Coral Sea...and i didn't notice bistro in france at all. kind of odd but oh well
