Brown Derby lunch menu?

Somewhat debating changing my plans around to drop dinner at 50s and have a late lunch at the Brown Derby (it was phenomenal last time).

In looking at the lunch menu on the Disney site, it looks identical to the dinner menu - no sandwiches, no Wagyu burger, etc. Is this a glitch?

We ate a light lunch at the lounge this December and I'm pretty sure the Wagyu burger was still on the restaurant's menu but not sure about the chicken sandwich; of course many WDW restaurants frequently changes their menus around so anything is possible. On the lounge menu, there are Wagyu sliders, beef arepas, and pork buns in the similar to sandwiches department. A grilled cheese sandwich is still available on the restaurant menu under the kids' section. Just a head's up: we were offered the menus for both eateries when we ate in the lounge and the waitress claimed this has been going on for sometime. Nice to not have to choose one sitting area over another:-).

Thank you for the response! I had meant to ask about the table service restaurant rather than the lounge. But interesting that the lounge offered up the full menu! Food for thought.

The lounge doesn't take reservations (or accept dining plans). We just walked up to the the table we wanted and had a seat. We ate there Christmas Day and it was a totally different experience from eating in the restaurant which coincidentally we did the Christmas before. Very relaxing watching the people scene and the Star Wars show as we ate.

We reserved lunch on Christmas eve and discovered they removed all the sandwiches (starting that day) We were not happy. The Manager said this was just for over the holiday period.

Oh no! I would have been upset too. That's really annoying, although I guess they're strong-arming holiday crowds into the more expensive options. Thank you for sharing that info.

We were concerned because there was absolutely no notice whatsoever. They didn't even have the menu updated online the night before we went. It is a challenge planning reservations around 5 people with various tastes and dietary issues etc. so the lack of notice was a real concern for us. They did offer that we could order the sliders from lounge menu (but not wagu burger that a few in our party love)

The one thing to remember when making reservations is that things can change. There is no promise that any item will be on the menu no matter when you go or what it says online.

It looks like the Cobb salad was removed too. I know you used to be able to get it as an appetizer or entree.

The Cobb salad is still on the menu of at least the restaurant but only as an entree. Learned that the appetizer portion was gone at least last Thanksgiving when we were there. Fortunately we were a party of three so divided one large portion between us all.

ok...but dropping the lunch menu with no notice and no updated menus on disney website is unprofessional IMO and actually seems like a bit of a cash grab for Christmas Eve and Christmas week at expense of those who spent a lot of time making plans for their family.

I understand your concern but the lunch menu was not dropped en toto just parts of it. Given the wonkiness of Disney's IT in many aspects there is no way of definitively knowing whether this was a cash grab or not what with various other bread based items remaining on the menu at similar price points. For instance the Waygu burger w/ fries costs about 20 bucks but the sliders cost $17.00 w/o fries.

Keeping an eye on this too, as we have lunch plans later this month that were made based on the burger and chicken sandwich that are now absent from the lunch menu. Lounge isn't an option, since we'll need a highchair. With the 20% AP discount right now, that would've been a fairly affordable lunch.

That must have been a seasonal change. They offered the cobb salad as both an appetizer portion and a full entrée portion on the lunch menu when I was there in May. It was also on the lounge menu in August.

I'm also looking at lunch, but am hoping that they have a lunch menu. Anyone have any insight?

Was there in June; lunch menu had both the chicken sandwich and Waygu burger as well as a Caesar salad chicken wrap. The Cobb salad comes out deconstructed — that is all of egg in one spot, all of chicken in a spot. It’s up to you to mix.
