Brown Derby Fantasmic Dinner Package

Hit the 180 + 10 mark this morning and jumped online right at 6pm ET. Oddly enough, the web site only allows you to book this up to 90 days in advance so I was forced to call and the best time they would give me is 4pm for dinner.

Is there any chance of getting a later dinner with the package (ideally I was hoping for 5pm) or do they just block all those times out for "regular" diners as a revenue maximization move?

I really hate the idea of lining up an hour beforehand to see the show but I hate the idea of eating dinner at 4pm even more.

I'm in the same situation. Id love to know if any one knows what the latest time would be. I know they don't go to late because they want you to be able to eat and have enough time to make it to fantasmic.

I have a reservation for 4:10. When I was booking I want to say that I saw a 5 pm, but by the time I actually had made up my mind all that was left was the 4:10 pm.

I went ahead and made our dinner reservation at a time we'd actually be comfortable eating dinner (5:55) and am hoping to call at 90 days and see if I can change it to the Fantasmic package. Not sure if they can do that, but I've already got the dinner reservation. It's not like there wouldn't be a table for us...

I think they only do early reservations for the Fantasmic packages. We have a 5pm reserved for Mama Melrose in Sept and were told that was the latest open (I think show is at 8). They made need to make sure you have enough time to eat and still get to the show 30min in advance....

I'm going to try and schedule a FP or two between my HBD dinner (4PM as well) and Fantasmic.

We may even take it easy at the resort that morning and just do HS starting fairly late in the day. We plan on doing a full day at MK the previous day.

I made mine for Sept also and the only thing available was 440 at Hollywood and Vine.

Unfortunately they cannot change a regular ADR to a Fantasmic package, that needs to be booked specifically.

Trying to book the Fantasmic! Dining Package online has been problematic for several years. Sometimes it's loaded into the system at 180 + 10, sometimes at 180 and other times at some point within the 180 days. There doesn't seem to be any pattern so if you can't get it online you can try calling because it is often available by phone even though it's not in the online system.

I would continue checking online or call rather than wait until the 90 day mark because it's possible that the F!DP can be booked sooner than that. Since the dinner times are the first to be filled, if you wait too long they be fully booked.

While you have a regular dinner reservation right now, there's no guarantee that it can be re-booked as a F!DP reservation when they are loaded into the system. There has to be availability and it has to be within the time frame for the package. Also, only a limited number of tables are dedicated to the F!DP. The F!DP was created to fill the restaurant during the less busy time (late lunch/mid afternoon/early dinner so 6:00 packages only occur when the first (or only F!) is late in the evening. Otherwise the last package is usually around 5:00.

Another option is to book the F!DP for lunch and have a CS dinner before the show if the dinner times are too early.

You can book 180 +10 online like the other dining reservations. You have to go to the main reservations page to do it though, not the Fantasmic dining package page. From the drop down menu at the top of the website under "Things to do" select "Make Reservations". Then you put in the date and time you want and the F! Dining package should come up in the search results below. If there are no times available it will be listed all the way at the bottom of the page and it will say so next to it.

I have seen times at Hollywood and Vine as late as 6:00 and 4:55 at Mama Melrose, but I haven't seen anything later than 4:00p for Hollywood Brown Derby for the date I want.
