Will be going to Brown Derby in a couple of weeks for the Fantasmic/DDP package and was wondering could I get a Cobb Salad for one person as my appetizer. I really love Cobb Salads and want to try this version and my DH can't stand rabbit food.....or would I be left out and need to pick something else as a starter.....Has anyone requested something like this?

At lunch, of course, there's no problem, since it is on the menu as an appetizer at lunch. At dinner, we've requested the Cobb Salad as an appetizer twice, and had the request honored once. Best of luck to you!

Sorry, but I was way disappointed. I ordered it for dinner and it was not bigger than a softball. I wasn't looking to hang the feed bag over my face, but was looking for something a bit more than this compact tiny salad.

App yes, meal - order something else.

We did the FDP last year, and I thought the waiter would make us share the Cobb as an app, since it is for two people. I casually mentioned that I wanted the cobb, DH wanted something else and the waiter said "No problem!" He brought me the Cobb, which was HUGE and honestly really, really good. DH got his own app. I will post my review of the FDP at HBD...it was a really good deal (cuz we ordered the most expensive stuff on the menu) and we are doing it again on our upcoming trip in Oct.

When we went to Brown Derby 3 yrs ago, the cobb salad was for two people. That must have changed because our portion was HUGE! We split it between the two of us, and it could have been our entree. Cobb is one of my favorite salads, and I thought this version was really good.

Several years ago they had individual Cobb Salads for appetizers. When I went in 2002 they had changed the menu for the larger 2 person Cobb Salad. I asked my server if I could have the individual salad that had been on the previous menu and, after checking with the kitchen, they honored the request. It couldn't hurt to ask your server.
