Hey Everyone,

*This is a repost from the Disney for Solo and Adult Travelers forum. I didn't get any response and was hoping for some feedback :confused3. Please!"

My brother's 21st is in May and I booked a 1 bedroom at Boardwalk for a week starting the day before his birthday (that way he gets his first legal drink in Mouse land!). It's the first time we're going without our parents, and we're bringing two friends to celebrate with us.

I was wondering if you had any suggestions for what would be a good way to celebrate a 21st down in Disney? We've always gone with our parents, so the "scene" has always been a bit more mature-adult than anything else.

Last year, SSR delivered balloons to the room for my b/f's 25 and I was thinking that might be a good idea. And my brother has decided he wants to do California Grill for his birthday dinner (yum!), Tappen Edo, and Earl of Sandwich at some point.

I'm trying to figure out something to do that would surprise him, but I'm kind of drawing a blank. He's not a big party person or dancer, so I'm not sure if anything in Downtown Disney will be up his ally. I've never been to any of the clubs they have there, and he's not really into the dueling pianos of Jellyrolls (I already asked). The biggest thing he said he wants to do is the Kitchen Sink at Beaches and Cream. He also mentioned a water park one day maybe because his friend has only been down there twice before, and my friend never to a water park.

Any suggestions? I'm at a loss

Thanks everyone,
K

All the clubs at Pleasure Island closed a few years ago.

How about a Character Meal? That might be fun for a bunch of single young adults.

Shows how cool I am! I thought some where still open. :rotfl:

I forgot about these, we haven't been to one in awhile. That's a really good idea! Maybe I can find some of the old pictures from when we were younger and recreate them.

Thanks!

Sounds like you have some wonderful ideas already! Definitely do the water park and the kitchen sink. The restaurant choices are great. You can maybe try the balloon ride in DTD in the day you do Earl of Sandwich. Does he like Disney Quest? How about a movie?

Since you are next door to Epcot, why not let him have his first official drinky-drink in another country!?

What about the MK fireworks dessert party? That was magical for me, even though it wasn't my birthday.

By the way, I'm 26, so I know what you are talking about with a mature scene! I went alone my first time in April of last year, and ended up doing the same things I used to do with my parents!

What about mini-golf?

If you have never done the Hoop Dee Doo Revue, that is a fun show and includes food, entertainment, beverages (incl beer, wine and sangeria)and gratuity! We have done the show about 5 times over the years and have loved it everytime. It is over at Ft. Wilderness.

Have fun
