Brother did not use his ticket this trip. Options?

Well we mostly had a great visit to WDW this past week. Much better weather than this time last year. So many wonderful CM's who went out of their way to really make it magical.

The downer was my brother severely pulled a muscle in his leg and spent the whole week in the hotel recuperating. Very disappointing but he's really tried to make the best of it.

Question now is he has an unused 5 day ticket attached to his Disney id. Can he return it? Transfer it? And will it expire at some point? Ty for any replies!

If he didn't use it at all it will not expire. Regular tickets expire 14 days from first use. So it is good indefinably for a future trip.
I don't believe it can be returned. Since it was never used by him, it maybe transferable, but I don't know how you would do that.

As long as it has never been used, he can use it on a future trip, or he can transfer it to someone else. It will not be subject to expiration until it has been used to enter a park.

No returns though.
