Just got back from sunny Austin, Texas (boy, it feels cold here!) where we went to see Brother Bear, Elf and Good Boy at the cinema.
Brother Bear - I'm not quite sure what I think about this latest Disney offering...perhaps I saw it too soon after Finding Nemo (which was excellent - particularly now as I bought the DVD in the US and have watched it again). Some of the characters are funny - the caribou in particular but the main character lacks something. The ending is quite bizarre really but I can't say too much about it as I don't want to give the plot away. I'd give it about 6 out of 10.
Elf - Hilarious. A must see for Christmas. I was really laughing out aloud in the cinema. Make sure you go see this one. 9 out of 10.
Good Boy - Not sure if it has been released here or is yet to be released. Another one of those 'talking animals' films but this time dogs are actually aliens!! Novel story, a bit cheesy in parts. I'd give it 7 out of 10.
It was such a pleasure to go to the cinema in the US - $15 for 2 adults & 2 kids....bargain!!
