Brother Bear on the Magic

Brother Bear is set to be release on Nov. 1st (this is a Saturday release date, never seen that before ) which is the first day of our cruise. Is it normal practice for DCL to have the premier on the first night of the cruise or would that be done on the cruise before us before the release date? Would the premiere replace the welcome aboard show?

They will show it at 12:01 AM Saturday. So that would be the last night of the previous cruise.

They normally have multiple showings of a new movie so you should be able to catch it sometime during the week.

When we were on our second cruise it was the weekend that Monster's Inc. opened and they held a DCL "prem-ear". The set it up somewhat like a Hollywood movie premire and it was held in the Walt Disney Theater rather than the Buena Vista Movie Theater. It was really cute, our DS5 thought it was great.

Don't know how they will handle the "when, where, and how" of showing Brother Bear but it will be on your cruise.

They may offer a showing later on Saturday night. I don't think they would not have the Welcome Aboard Variety show. They just may offer the movie in the Walt Disney Theater later that evening.

We're sailing November 9th, and we're definately looking forward to seeing Brother Bear!

Any idea what else we might see? My kids LOVE going to the movie theater, but we don't do it often because it's soooo much cheaper to rent a video.

I called DCL today to ask another question and asked the cast member if she knew what they would do. She confirmed that the movie would be on the ship but didn't think that they would move the variety show either. I was hoping for the "prem-ear" in the Walt Disney theatre but think with the timing the cruise before us with probably get it.
