Brooklynn takes Bella to see Cinderella. Last thread.

Brooklynn loves this ride and tries her best to see everything on both sides.

Bella was teething, so she chewed on anything that was near her - quite often, it was her hands.

I am hoping the last two pictures in the above post will right themselves. This has been happening some on photobucket lately. Sometimes they work right away, and sometimes they don't. They are upright in the album, so hopefully they'll do right here eventually.

The wheelchair accessible boat in front of us.

I didn't quite catch the clock while it was opened.

IMG_0859.jpg

By the time we got up to it, it was closed.

Last day shopping in the Philharmagic gift shop.

We may see a lot of these as they revamp all of Fantasyland and Toontown.

A quick goodbye to Ariel's Grotto.

Christmas things - appropriate for today, huh?

Another one that won't turn, yet the Mickey statue in the gift shop did turn, and I am doing them exactly the same way.

The time had come. We could put it off no longer. We had to go.

From the boat dock looking back on the crowd.

Our boat.

Some of Brooklynn's treasures.

IMG_0901.jpg

Pirates were in the area, but we were lucky that they did not bother us.

IMG_0902.jpg

Gotta take a break. More this evening. Hope you are all having a great Christmas Day!

Back in the rooms, we cleaned everything up and threw away the last of the uneaten goodies that had been bought.

Cute treat box - trashed.

IMG_0903.jpg

Jill explained to Brooklynn that we had to get out of our rooms now, but we were going to spend some time at the pool and go to the kids' club to do some fun things.

I think here they were discussing their favorite things from the trip.

IMG_0904.jpg

Goodbye, rock wall. It was nice to sit by you with my family.

Pool time.

IMG_0913.jpg

I did a little more exploring while they played in the water.

I had fixed a PBJ sandwich in hopes of not spending any more money than I had already had spent.

IMG_0924.jpg

I will be fixing 'sammies' this time, too. ::yes::

Children were being given cookies and decorations in the dining room, so Brooklynn made one.

Good luck for all who are wishing for things - throwing money in the well and rubbing Humphrey's nose.

All there was to do now was wait on UnMagical Express to pick us up.

A little treat while waiting.

IMG_0957.jpg

A few last pictures.

The topiaries in better light than my previous morning's walk.

IMG_0960.jpg

Dude, it's time to go.

IMG_0962.jpg

IMG_0963.jpg

Not our ME, but a cool bus.

I'd like some of these lights at my house.

IMG_0964.jpg

As it does every time we leave, it rained.

IMG_0967.jpg

IMG_0968.jpg

Our stuff.

IMG_0969.jpg

The sky.

IMG_0970.jpg

At this point, Brooklynn and John had some kind of disagreement, and an exhausted Brooklynn had a meltdown. Jill and I pretended we did not know them.

We knew for sure that all the people witnessing the meltdown were praying that they were not on our flight.

Eventually she stopped crying, and if any of those people did get on the plane with us, it was all okay. She went straight to sleep. :)

A couple more stops.

The last day is always so sad. You guys were really cramming in a lot in your last few hours.
I have pictures of my girls in that same spot. We have about 6 from the past 8 years. If they get rid of it I'm in trouble.
Hope you had a great Christmas. It was warm, so we went down to the beach today. Nice Florida sunshine just waiting for you. We might go to the zoo tomorrow if it stays nice.
Have a great trip!

All passengers on board, the bus made its way through the falling rain to the Orlando Airport.

Brooklynn seizes every opportunity for pictures with her friends.

IMG_0977.jpg

A reminder of what we were leaving behind.

IMG_0979.jpg

IMG_0980.jpg

Brooklynn was too 'busy' (aka tired) to walk, so she was given a ride through the airport in a wheelchair at the suggestion of a kind airport worker.

IMG_0982.jpg

From the plane.

IMG_0984.jpg

Brooklynn was out in just a few minutes.

IMG_0985.jpg

In the air.

IMG_0988.jpg

Back in Nashville, the girls continued their sleep while the guys got all of the luggage.

IMG_0990.jpg

Brooklynn was totally zonked again.

IMG_0991.jpg

It had been a great trip. We had enjoyed a lot of good family time. We had laughed and played and relaxed. We had eaten good food and seen good shows. We like summer trips. The heat really doesn't bother most of us too much. We're used to going at crowded times, so we just don't let things bother us.

Tomorrow morning, I will drive to Alabama and spend the day with the girls. Tomorrow night, we will try to get a few hours sleep before pulling out at 1 a.m., hoping the girls will sleep all the way until a breakfast stop. Trent, Drew, and Jarvis will leave from Nashville and meet us at breakfast. From there, Trent and Jarvis are going to Gainesville, and Drew will be riding the rest of the way with us. His friend, Shelley, has been sending him phone pictures all week. Tonight, before he left to go see a movie, he showed me the castle picture she sent. We know it will be crowded, but it will also be beautiful. We will share more good family time, and it will be fun to watch how Bella reacts this time, since she is much more aware of her surroundings now.

Keep us in your thoughts and prayers as we travel. We will be meeting some of our DIS friends, and we are very excited about that! On the 31st and 1st, we will cross two more special days off of our Disney list. We'll work on Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, and some others eventually, but we've been in Disney World on a good number of holidays now, and they've all been fun.

Jill will start the new report either tonight or tomorrow. We will check in live here, and Trent will do Facebook pictures, as well. We hope you will join us once again!

Isn't it supposed to drop about ten degrees now and stay in the mid to low 60's for highs now? That's the last forecast I saw. It's better than here, for sure, because it's right at freezing tonight. The wind has been high all day.

Hope you guys had a great Christmas

Oh, the last day pictures always make me so sad, but it's SO nice knowing that you're leaving again so soon and there's another TR to look forward to.

If I don't get to "talk" to you before you leave, safe travels and have an AMAZING time! That's so cool that you get to ring in the new year there. In just a week, I'll be able to start saying that I'm going next month! :yay:

Safe travels MeMom,

We are driving this time too! I will be thinking good thoughts :goodvibes as you drive to see Jill and company and then for the middle of the night journey.

We are not leaving until Tuesday. :woohoo:

What a great way to end your summer trip! Pure exhaustion:rotfl:

Looking forward to having our trips overlap again. I can't wait to see your pictures and and compare the experiences. :upsidedow

We didn't do anything around here, since we had already had our family Christmas earlier. Drew had dinner with friends and is now at a movie. Trent went to a friend's house earlier and is now freezing at the Titans game. I've been getting the house in order and packing. And doing a lot of DIS updating!!! :)

I'd love to hear about your family's Christmas. It is very exciting that you are almost ready to say 'next month'! :cool1:

We'll think of you traveling. I am not sure what park we'll be in Tuesday, but I'll send good traveling 'vibes' your way.

Brooklynn's meltdown was one for the books.
I mean, whoever that kid was...it was one for the books. ;)

you could do valentines day/pre presidents day weekend 2010 just as long as you are there before Feb 12 or 13th! LOL!

Hi MeMom, I have been lurking for quite a while. Just wanted to let you know how much I have enjoyed your TR. Have a wonderful trip and Merry Christmas.:goodvibes

I'm not sure I haven't looked at the weather yet. We were outside at about 8 and it was warm enough for all us to wear shorts. In the winter you have to pack for July and for the freezing cold too. Orlando does get very cold and two days later it could be 90 again.

MeMom, what a wonderful way to spend your last day at Disney -- an opening show, the castle, it's a small world, Haunted Mansion, some swimming, some crafts, and some shopping pics! :thumbsup2

I will be thinking of you in the coming days as you head to our favorite place!!! Have a great time!

Oh, and it's the teenage part of the summer trip that scares me the most!

Memom thanks for the great report!!! The pictures were so great. I hope you had a great Christmas and and safe and exciting trip. I will be thinking of you guys on NYE. Have fun!

I wish! There won't be another trip for me until summer. :sad1:

We are glad you have been around and have enjoyed it. Thanks for the comments, because it makes it easier to put the time and effort into doing reports when you do know people are enjoying it. We hope to have a wonderful trip. I am glad the whole family is going to go. :)

It's looking like 60's and 70's with a chance of rain in a couple of spots. We'll take that! :goodvibes

Brooklynn would enjoy doing a craft every day. Next time, we will remember to do that more than once.

Trent will keep FB updated for everyone who is interested.

Be prepared. Jill was a dream as a teenager compared to most of my friends, but she still crushed my feelings a few times. It's all a part of them asserting their independence, just like they do when they're two and three years old, only with more words, some eye-rolling, and a little stomping down the hall to their bedrooms.

Memom thanks for the great report!!! The pictures were so great. I hope you had a great Christmas and and safe and exciting trip. I will be thinking of you guys on NYE. Have fun!

Thanks for reading along and joining in on the conversation. I hope your family had a great Christmas, as well. Much warmer than ours, I know!

Good morning!
We're in full 'Preppa Landing' mode today! Stay tuned to Trent's FB for pictures. Have a good rest of the holiday!

Good luck with all the Preppa Landing chores today!!! I saw Jill's to-do list on Facebook this morning, and it made me tired just looking at it. I will be sitting here in my new Mickey Mouse pajamas cheering you on!
