Hey everyone. Sorry to update you all so late, but I just got home. MeMom didn't get up to surgery until 3:30, an hour after she was supposed to go in. I called around 5:30 and the nurse said she was in recovery and the doctor had spoken with my father. Not possible. She said they had spoken to her husband. Once again not possible. She said she had spoken to a male and given him all the info and couldn't release any information to me. I called Trent assuming he was the male in question. He said he hadn't spoken to anyone and had no missed calls or messages. I called the hospital back extremely upset because not only would they not tell me what was going on they were talking to some stranger! When I started griping at the nurse she said she had checked with Mrs. Graves and it was indeed her husband whom she had spoken to. Well great for Mrs. Graves and her husband, but my mom's name is MEMOM!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh, well she is still in surgery. SO they transferred me to the room and the nurse said the doctor was putting the last few stitches in and they he would come let me know what was going on. A few minutes later I was talking to the doctor who said the surgery went well. He said she was going to recovery and should be walking without crutches within a week.
Trent called at 6:45 and said Mom had called him and said she would be ready to go in an hour. When Trent got there around 7:30 she was really loopy and he spoke with a nurse. The nurse said she still had to take a pain pill and keep it down for an hour before they would let her go home. So she is still at the hospital in recovery and it will probably be around 10 or 11 before they get to leave.
Thanks to everyone for your thoughts and prayers today. I know it was just a small surgery but it was surgery nonetheless and I am very grateful that all went well.
