Brooklynn takes Bella to meet Cinderella! Page 242 Downtown Disney

I love your empty Pop food court pictures. It's almost making me want to see it for myself one of these days.

I love, love, love the empty park pictures, too! Brooklynn and Bella's matching shirts came out so cute. :cutie:

Cute shirts :)

I'd better go and check it out for myself in time for our trip - thanks Jill for the great ideas!

Ahhhh...two of my favorite places....Pop and AK.  I remember sitting on that very planter in AK. LOL I love the stroller picture where Brooklynn is tickling Bella. What a beautiful smile!

I vote for the #2 fountain pic as well and agree with everybody else that the reflection of the palm tree is way cool. Maybe you can start another collage for reflections.

Two of my favorite places, as well. When I was teaching my class about nouns earlier this week, and we came to the Places column, I thought of both of those wonderful places!

I will probably have many collage frames in time. I was pleased with the flower one from last year, so I thought I'd do another one.

Haha, I was all about the matching bows/outfits when I was her age. Bella will have hair soon enough!

I do have to say...it's so funny to see pics that you've taken when you're there and thinking I was just there too. Again as I've been saying, I just wish we could be there at the same time!

Brooklynn has about ten thousand accessories for her hair. Jill keeps them in a hanging pocket pouch on the back of the bathroom door sorted by color, so it's always easy to find what she needs to go with any outfit.

I do the same thing. I even say out loud sometimes, "I was just standing right there!" :) Eventually we'll be there at the same time, and maybe our families could ride a ride together. If not, we can just meet at the hippo every summer! :goodvibes

Did you put the memom signs in your window or did the dider do that? Either way great idea:thumbsup2. The girls look so cute in their matching outfits.
Come on more more more:rotfl: It's the only way you'll finish:rolleyes1

I put the MeMom signs up, and the Diser saw them. Jill hadn't yet put hers up, but she did later that day, I think.

I am going to have to put up pictures constantly to finish!

Great update MeMom!!!!:thumbsup2

Love the 1st fountain pic and LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the puddle palm tree pic!!! That's amazing!!!:cloud9:

Love all the POP pics, especially since I'll be there in 19 days now...you got me really excited!!!!:woohoo:

I am excited for you! I'm happy about 7 weeks. I'd be giddy about 19 days! I know you guys are going to have so much fun!

Great update! Enjoyed the morning walk though AK! The girls look adorable! I love Brooklynn deep in thought look!

How do you feel about a Tusker House breakfast tomorrow morning? ;)

Wonder what Brooklynn was thinking? No telling!

Great Pop food court pictures.

I agree with you my DH and I usually eat breakfast around 7:00am at the food court and it is never crowded.

Brooklynn is so cute in her AK shirt and hair bow. I look forward to the Tusker House pictures and of course shopping pictures.

I've been there on rare occasions when it's been packed, so I do know what people mean. It gets so crowded that your food is cold by the time you pay for it. You just have to time things better, since that's the way it is.

More pictures coming soon!

I so needed some Disney today... thanks MeMom for the pictures.

If I am going to finish this before we leave in October, there will be some Disney going on over here just about every day!

School started for you...I totally feel your pain!

Thank you for starting another update! That was a nice little hello that you received from some fellow DISers! Definately going to put a sign on our window next time.
What did John's shirt mean? "WKFC"? I was trying to figure it out, but :confused3 .
Jill did a wonderful job on the girls T-shirts, and I love Brooklyn's mini skirt that she was wearing.

I'll have to let Jill answer the shirt question. I think it was a play on KFC - Western Kentucky something to do with soccer maybe?

Ooh! I love the newest shirts Jill! You did a great job!

Looking forward to pics from the Breakfast Safari!

Jill was so pleased with how the shirts turned out. She worked on them all week before we left, and the girls were so cute in them.

You'll most likely have breakfast at Tusker House in the morning. :)

Another vote for #2 fountain pic. I like the perspective. And I'm in total agreement with everyone else who love, love the palm tree puddle picture.:goodvibes

Looks like you had a nice start to your AK day. Jill, your girls are just the cutest.:cutie:

Again, I'm glad I decided to put the puddle picture up after all.

First, I love, love, love Brooklyn and Bella's pink shirts with the animal print names! I think I might need to make one for myself next trip!

Second, oh, how I adore Harambe in the morning before anyone else gets there! :lovestruc

They were cute, and you and Chelsea would look great in them, as well. You could do a white, green, or yellow one for Connor.

I was very happy to get the empty street picture. If you took the trash cans out of the pictures, they'd look even better.

On the 2 fountain pictures - I like the 2nd one best. Love seeing all your pictures at POP because they bring back so many good memories! So cool seeing Animal Kingdom streets with no one on them!!

I bet there are many more Pop trips in your future, too! Won't it be fun when/if they open the other side?!?!? :cool1:

I love your empty Pop food court pictures. It's almost making me want to see it for myself one of these days.

I love, love, love the empty park pictures, too! Brooklynn and Bella's matching shirts came out so cute. :cutie:

Just gotta get out of bed, girl! It's waiting for you with no lines!

That was my first time to be in AK before opening, so I was very happy!

OCTOBER TRIP NEWS: We weren't going to do any table service meals on this short trip, but I was thinking this morning, and I booked two anyway. We have them, and if we want to cancel later, we can. I've wanted to try Kona, so I booked us a lunch there. Jill and her family went to Hollywood and Vine last October for the character breakfast, but I have never eaten there, so I booked a breakfast there. She can decide if she wants to keep them or if we'll just do all counter service, but I'd kind of like to do both of them, since I've never eaten at either place and she's never eaten at Kona.

Kona is an excellent choice!I have to admit I love it for the coffee:lmao:

Haven't had b'fast at H&V, just supper.

Back to work next week-no kids until Tuesday the 7th. We have lots of class prep time available to us so I am not going in this week. First time in 14 years I havent gone in early!

I love Kona! Its my fave Disney restaurant!!! I'm thinking of doing a TR for my october trip (i have a pre trip written just dont know if i want to post) if I do, I will definitely post about Kona! We're eating there for sure!

I loved the morning POP pictures, The pastry cabinet is funny because by the time we got there this trip (around 8:00am) it was empty except for a few stranded bagels lol

One day i'll have to go to tusker house for breakfast, my birthday breakfast this year is with Winnie the Pooh, I CAN HARDLY WAIT!

Just gotta get out of bed, girl! It's waiting for you with no lines!

That was my first time to be in AK before opening, so I was very happy!

When we are there and I'm awake before anyone else, I'll try and remember that. :rotfl:

Kona is one of the many places that I am considering when we go in February, because we've never been there, either, and I want to try someplace new. I have to admit that the bread and butter is swaying me.

Eventually we'll be there at the same time, and maybe our families could ride a ride together. If not, we can just meet at the hippo every summer! :goodvibes

Yes, we'll always have the hippo! I think this time we should eat at RFC together. If you and Jill want to!

We loved both breakfast and dinner at Kona, so I think you should keep your lunch. I think the prices are quite reasonable for Disney as well. :goodvibes

Kona is SOO yummy! We ate there last summer and Ryan and I agreed - it was our favorite meal on property!

OOOH visual retail therapy to soothe my soul!!!! I love love to browse the stores of Disney right alone with you MeMom!!

Really enjoyed the pictures of POP in the early morning and even more so the pictures of your beautiful little angels!!

I have only heard great things about Kona so that's why I'm trying it in this next trip. I'm going for breakfast because I desperately want to have the Tonga Toast...but can't wait to hear about lunch if you guys decide to keep it!

:goodvibesSo here is the famous MeMom and Jill that others have refered to in many TRs. I just got through reading this TR and your first TR (well I believe that one was like 4 or 5 TRs....I was skimming so everything got kinda blury!) You are both girls after my own heart. I too love to "look" in every store at Disney.....DH says it is a waste of time, but I might miss out on something good!

Thanks for all of your TR it will help me pass the time before my trip.....and give me good ideas for taking a little one!

Hi MeMom

We had an early evening dinner at Kona Cafe in July '08, right before our Wishes Cruise. I loved it! We all shared starters (appetisers!!!) and I had a delicious fish main course (I think!!!) I do have pictures somewhere but of course I never finished my trip report...!!!

I loved the pictures from today / yesterday. Early mornings at Disney are the best!!! I am determined to have a few nights at Pop when we go in 2011 and just 1 night at the Grand Floridian. Love the Tusker House pics too - def. one we will be doing again in 2011, the kids will love it!

My Mum and Dad are currently flying over the Atlantic Ocean on their way to Orlando. Its Mum's birthday on Saturday and she is spending it in Disney but she is yet to decide which park, it'll be MK or AK. I have given her full instructions on how to get her birthday entry celebration and her birthday pin badge!!!

Mmmmm...

We've never done the breakfast-before-park-opening thing, but seeing your pictures of an empty park really makes me want to add some ADRs to our December trip!

Ooooh! I'm ready for a wild time at AK! I too love the picture of the palm tree in the puddle! That is cool and the colours are very nice! I may have to steal your idea for a Disney fountain collage! That is fab and I have always loved fountains (weird I know, don't know why!)

Also I have to say, Bella has a smile that simply lights up your day! :)

Cute shirts :)

I'd better go and check it out for myself in time for our trip - thanks Jill for the great ideas!

You could spend hours over on the DISigns board. There are so many cute things. I imagine Jill will be prowling it for some good shirts for October, too.

Back to work next week-no kids until Tuesday the 7th. We have lots of class prep time available to us so I am not going in this week. First time in 14 years I havent gone in early!

We're not coffee drinkers, so we're just going for all of the good food reviews.

Jill said she told Brooklynn about eating with the Little Einsteins and her face lit up!

Enjoy your time off. Work will be here soon enough.

Your rave reviews, along with Scott's and others are what makes me want to try it out.

That's funny. I always see filled cabinets.

Yay for birthday breakfast with Pooh! :woohoo:
It is almost September, and September touches October!:yay:

When we are there and I'm awake before anyone else, I'll try and remember that. :rotfl:

Kona is one of the many places that I am considering when we go in February, because we've never been there, either, and I want to try someplace new. I have to admit that the bread and butter is swaying me.

I have had visions of the bread and butter and the steak, potatoes, and broccoli. Yum!

Yes, we'll always have the hippo! I think this time we should eat at RFC together. If you and Jill want to!

It's okay by me. Hopefully Dawn and Erica can come, too, and we'll get tables all put together for a fun time.

We loved both breakfast and dinner at Kona, so I think you should keep your lunch. I think the prices are quite reasonable for Disney as well. :goodvibes

We were just going to do CS, since we're going on a budget, but then I figured we should preview Kona before we take the guys there.
Wanna make sure it's good enough for them, you know. ;)

Kona is SOO yummy! We ate there last summer and Ryan and I agreed - it was our favorite meal on property!

So many people have said that, which is why I want to go!

OOOH visual retail therapy to soothe my soul!!!! I love love to browse the stores of Disney right alone with you MeMom!!

I'm glad there's such a nice name for my madness. Visual retail therapy. Very nice!

My sweeties! Brooklynn had her 3 year old picture made tonight. She's a big girl now. Jill left Bella in her class and took Brooklynn to just have Mommy and me time with Brook. They got slushies and were headed home to get Brooklynn a bath and paint her toenails before picture time. :)

We had Tonga toast at Captain Cook's, but I'll tell you a story about Kona breakfast in a minute.

I agree MeMom. At least you have the reservations and you can cancel later if you decide so.

That's what I thought. I figured it wouldn't be too hard to talk Jill into it.

:goodvibesSo here is the famous MeMom and Jill that others have refered to in many TRs. You might want to go with infamous on that. We're known for some madness over here!

I hope you enjoy all of the trips. Between all of the reports, there are probably thousands of pictures for your viewing pleasure.

Whenever we get around to staying at GF, it'll probably be just one night for us, too.

I hope your mom has an awesome birthday! I know you are happy for her but wishing you were there, as well!

My birthday!

Mmmmm...

Denise

The H&V ADR is for early, too, so hopefully we'll get some empty Hollywood streets on this trip.

What do you mean " thinking of doing one????":lmao:

Yes, Nicole, you've gotta give us something!

**************************

Jill has listened to me say a few hundred times that I want to try the macadamia pancakes at Kona. Little did I know that while I was secretly booking some fun stuff for us to do, she was also secretly booking Kona for breakfast so that I could get my pancakes! Isn't she just the best daughter??? The trouble is, we both booked breakfasts for the same day! Sooo, we think we'll keep the H&V so Brooklynn can have one character meal, and then maybe we can do the Kona breakfast in December when all the guys are with us. Anyway, I thought it was very sweet of Jill to think of me like that and try to surprise me!

Bella's smile is definitely a day brightener for me!

I am for sure going to get the Music fountain, because that's one that Brooklynn must stop at every time she is on her way to the bus stop or food court. I also got the fountain at POFQ, and I'm putting in the water wheel at POR. I also have some stream pictures from AK, AKL, WL, and some other water features. I think it will be fun to put it together.
