Broken wrist....

Because I really am a big child.... I have broken my wrist on a trampoline and am now in pot. Dependant on whether it needs to be operated on I come to wdw next week for two weeks (from uk).

Are there any rides that I will not be allowed on? I can judge the pain side for myself, I'm just concerned as to whether CM may refuse me entry to any ride simply because of the cast.

Same for universal..... are there any rides that I will be refused entry to?

I am aware that my trip will be affected, but 3 years in planning mean I'm determined to make it happen!

disney I think ( or I should say I am almost sure) you can do what ever you feel you can do

Universal I think is different I have not been there in a number of years I think there are some rides you have to be able to hold on with both hands you can go on there web site and look up disabilities and it should have a list of things you have to be able to hold on with both hands.

Agree with gap2368. At Disney, the river rapids at AK you get really, really wet, so bring something to wrap cast with or plan to skip. Splash mountain is hit or miss how wet you get (nowhere near as bad as river rapids) so plan to waterproof cast just in case

another ride you may get a little wet on ( especially if you sit in the front) is POTCB but it really is not that bad just cover your arm with your other when you go down the big drop or just sit closer to the back.

I'd also plan on covering your cast on Big Thunder Mountain. Since the last refurb, the geysers near the end can spray more water than you'd think into the cars. I mean, it's not like you're guaranteed to get wet, but there is a chance.

WDW will not generally say anything about arm casts. If they do, it is because of a safety concern, not just a blanket prohibition.

Also, ask the doctor how much motion or jostling is going to be OK. You want to look at all the attractions with warning to see whether it is wise to ride.

We got pretty wet on Splash Mtn in February. We were in the back too. But if the logs back up, you can get doused good by the log coming down the flume while you are waiting. Or like what happened to us, we got stuck in the back up right by the waterfall. So we kept getting splashed by the waterfall! this HTML class. Value is It's rare but it doeGrrr!!!

And the geysers at Big Thunder Mtn weren't even operating in Feb. They had them turned off. They do that when it's cold.

You'll be fine at WDW anyway. See if your orthopaedist can change you out to a water-tolerant cast before the trip.
