Broken wrist - have some ?'s about rides

Our trip starts in 2 weeks. DD9 broke her wrist and will be in a cast for the next 8-10 weeks. The doctor gave her several restrictions for the next 3-4 weeks (basically, nothing that could bump her cast or cause her to move her arm much ... and nothing wet since she's not a candidate for a waterproof cast at this time).

I'm going through the unofficial guide and trying to judge what might be too bumpy and I have a few *maybes* that I need some imput on.

I know the "big ones" are out - no Splash, Space, etc. But, I'm wondering about Roger Rabbit - is it very rough? Also, do you tend to get bumped a lot in Autotopia? And, Astro Orbitor ... is the centripical force great enough to smash you to one side of your vehicle (potentially shoving DD's arm agains the vehicle wall)? I think the tea cups will be fine if we don't spin them on our own ... but I'm not sure because we always spin them at WDW ... don't know how wild it is on it's own. And Davy Crocket's canoes - do you get splashed ... and if DD can't really paddle, can she get in the boat?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I'm so sorry to hear this. I think she'll be okay on Roger Rabbit. I'm not sure about Astro Oribitor.

I, IMHO, would avoid completely RR. It is one of two rides I am done going on. The other is Autopia ;) Maybe go on those first and judge??

You should not get bumped on Autopia. You are not supposed to bump the car in front of you. Maybe someone else in your group could go in the car directly behind your daughter just to make sure there's no bumping. But, even if you can't do that, I don't think it will be a problem.

Tea Cups don't bump or bounce. Should be fine as long as your daughter isn't trying to do the spinning herself.

I don't think Astro Orbiter is a problem either.

I wouldn't bother with the canoes, as they are just too much work for everyone :-) But that's just me!

I think Autopia would be fine--maybe have her keep her cast in her lap to help cushion it rather than trying to steer with that arm.

Astro Orbitor should be fine too. You mostly just go up and down and it isn't all that fast.

Personally, I wouldn't let her do Roger Rabbit--it seems awfully lurchy to me. The canoes have always been closed for our trips, so I've never been on them.

I agree that Roger Rabbit is jerky....maybe Mr Toad's Wild Ride too? Not sure if you are going to California Adventure, but Toy Story is also very jerky.

SO sorry this happened to her :(

I would deffiently get her a sling and make sure it is snug against her body. ALL rides have the potential to be bumpy. I would also look into getting a waterproff cast sleeve, check out your local walgreens or pharmacy.
