so will be posting during my usual awake hours now..between 6pm and 6am..a night owl I am.

yeah, work was hard, lost my bottle completely this arvo,I'm normally so easy going...just went rampaging like a pre-menstrual yr 9 girl...not my proudest moment but we had all had enough.(but no excuse to make someone cry)...

thank god have 3 weeks to cool down and enjoy the entire family moving back home (oh sweet god, I'm depressed again).....nahhh, looking forward to it, I have my squash buddies back, every mon & wed...and the daughter i never had in the DS's GF.......think positive...

so any more polls????

DS is on 3 week's break as well. I won't be on my normal part-time Dis hours during the break. I am determined that DS needs to spend less time in front of a screen this holidays (which means that I get to spend less time in front of a screen as well).

Sorry you've had a crappy time Karen! Got to love school hols, my DS is on 4 weeks hols Thank goodness! The assignments have been making the whole house tear their hair out! So stressful!

Oh you will be lucky to avoid Shades! I've downloaded it and have resisted the temptation to open it for 2 weeks.

My DS is just not interested in reading! So annoying with 2 book reports a term!

Well...DS is still young'ish. I'm hoping that he will continue to enjoy reading when he gets to high school.

I have to almost strap the book to my son's head to make him read (not really). I bought the Hunger Games for him the other day... which he said was great, thanks.... well it's still sitting on his desk and it's slowly being moved to the back of the desk.

I got him the whole series of Harry Potter Books last year. Next thing I notice they are gone and they had to take books to donate to the class library (don't know why they needed that, when they have a whole library at school) and he took the whole series!!!! Don't know what happened to them, they didn't come home at the end of the years. So.... I buy books for my DS to read, he donates them to others

DS has been asking about the Hunger Games. He's just finished the latest Chris Bradford Young Samurai book and he wants to read the HG next.

We...er...I already have the HP books. DS isn't yet keen to start them yet but I figure I'll get him started in the next couple of months.

audio books...

great for in the car, and it gets them eager for more......DH loves his audio books..and most libraries have a fantastic selection.

also graphic novels are great, just steer clear of the more "adult " ones.
