Broken Pal Mickey - exchange?

I got a good deal on a used Pal Mickey that doesn't talk. Will WDW help me reset him or even exchange him for a working model? He's the newer version with a tuxedo, but batteries are not all that's needed to fix him (been tried...)

Does anyone know? I read somewhere they'll swap them out, and somewhere else said they'll give you a $20 credit. I'm really hoping for a swap, LOL!

Does anyone know first hand?

it's tough to say, they are going to want to unload as much of the pal mickeys as possible because with the new celebration a new mickey will have to be released.

When I saw the thread title I envisioned the exchange like they have on the Community Board--so I thought, huh, people will exchange just about anything, won't they?!

Where did you get it? If you didn't buy it yourself in disney wouldn't you feel bad getting a brand new one for the broken one you didn't pay nearly as much for? I don't want to be flamed or sound mean but I'm just wondering.

My guess is that they will swap it out if you are at the parks. Can't say what you'd get elsewhere. Ours was stolen in the parks a few years ago, and they replaced it immediately no questions asked.
