Broken hand = no Disney this time

Unfortunately I have two questions related to not being able to go on our planned trip this coming weekend. My bike and I took a fall Saturday and now rather than going to Disney on Thursday, I'll be having surgery on my broken hand. Our trip was planned for two couples - DH and i can't go, but the other couple is going to go still. We are booked on points at SSR. Can I just call member services and tell them that my husband and i wont be there (we are members, other couple aren't).
Also - we scheduled delivery from Garden Grocer - does anyone know if there is a way to make the order smaller (one OJ, not two...)?

Anyone on the reservation over 18 can check in so the other couple will be able to check in but you can call DVC and change the occupancy except for leaving on the lead person (who I don't believe you can delete).

You would have to contact garden grocer about changing the order- I don't know how far in advance you would need to do this.

Good luck with the surgery- I have a friend who is going through a surgery for a broken wrist this morning.

Good luck with the surgery and sorry to hear that your trip is on hold until you are feeling better. You can call MS and let them know that the two of you won't be there. They will adjust the reservation to your friends only. If you don't have the dining plan, to be honest, there would be no harm in leaving as is and having your friends tell the check in desk when they get there (assuming you are in the same room).

Those of us who have had similar conclusions to our rides can relate!

Broken nose, knocked out front tooth (put it back in, and to the amazement of my dentist, it's still there 4 years later!), broken fingers. But fortunately nobody SAW the fall, so it never happened! Obviously I was lucky.

Just remember, anybody can ride with a cast. You don't need those brake levers anyway!

As others have stated, as long as you weren't on DDP, no problem with the checkin.

IF you WERE on DDP, I would call MS and explain what happened, and hope they can delete your and DH's DDP.

The Garden Grocer question -- only GG can answer. I would call them, explain the situation. Should be doable.
