Broken Camera Lens Help

Hi there,

DH has a Sigma AF zoom lens for a Cannon 300D but the twisty thing that moves the zoom in and out is broken.

Does anyone know who it could be sent off to get fixed and how much it may cost.

Any help much appreciated

Usually repairing lenses and cameras doesn't come cheap! So, depending on how old it is (or whether it's still under warranty), it may be cheaper to write it off and get a new one

Did he drop it? If he did it may be covered on your home contents insurance if you have accidental damage cover.

Thanks Tim, very helpful.

I don't remember what happened with it, I think he went to use it one day and it just didn't work but it's a few years old now so it will probably be worth getting a new one.
