Welcome to the "My Spouse is in a Boot" club. We don't sail until October, so I am hoping I will be able to leave the club soon. My husband has been in a boot since March. Toe removal followed by 2 broken toes that won't heal...and the boot wearer is stubborn about not always wearing the boot when he is supposed to have it on. I know he complains about how the boot slows him down. It is not just heavy, but awkward. So make sure you are accommodating for the amount of time it will actually take to get you from point A to point B. I think the CMs will do whatever they can to help you out, especially in the dining rooms and the buffet. The knee scooter sounds like a good plan too. I would rather have it and not need it than get on the ship and wish for one.
