Yes, I broke my 50d at Disney 2 weeks ago- but I still had the best time! Would I take my camera again? Absolutely!
The irony is that I took my camera everywhere- Everest, Splash Mountain, etc- and I had my camera out 95% of the time. It was actually a trip to the bathroom that did it in! I had it well protected in my lowepro slingshot and hung it on the hook in the bathroom stall and the bag dropped off the hook! I didn't think much of it but when I took my camera out again, I found that something had dislodged and the mirror wouldn't lift up so I couldn't take any pictures. I was surprised that a fall in a well padded bag could lead to this but...it was Star Wars Weekend so personally, I'm blaming Vader and his Jedi Mind Tricks
The silver lining is that it was at the end of my trip so I had already taken many many pictures and also- it was three weeks before my 1 year warranty was up so it is being fixed with no charge! I actually had a great experience with Canon- I shipped it out to them less than a week ago and Fed Ex is due to drop the repaired camera back at my house today!
If I get my act together, I'm going to post a trip report with some pictures. My pictures are not nearly in the same category as some people on this board but I have learned so much in the last year, especially from the people here, that my photography is light years ahead of where it was during my Disney trip 1 year ago. Thanks! And another silver lining- I upgraded to an annual pass when we were down there so I'll be back in August!

So I have to start using the D90 before my trip and get comfortable with it.
