I had sworn that I was going to wait and buy our tix once we arrived - because you never know what can happen and who wants to be out $1,000? We leave Tuesday and once we check in (Dolphin) we wanted to bolt to a park. I figured that we could buy our MYW passes at check in (like we had always done at other Deluxe hotels) but I guess the Dolphin/Swan are exceptions since they're not Disney owned. So as insurance I bought tickets with the no expiration because you never know... I bought them through the AAA website, so I got a little discount I think plus more convenient parking, it says.

The only problem is is that I have to pick them up at "will call" at any of the parks. Has anyone done this? I'm so nervous that I'll get there and forget to bring ID and I'll make our whole family go back to the hotel!

I have already bought my for 2006!

By the way, maybe I'm reading your post incorrectly but it sounds like you thought you needed the no expiration option because the 14 days started immediately. Or were you worried something might happen during your trip to cut the vacation short?

Oops, I see now you have had a lot of trips so I'm sure you understand the ticket options. Sorry about that. :goodvibes

Nope! Not exceptions! :) You can't buy the tickets whn you check-in, but there is a Guest Services type place. You can absolutely buy your tickets at the Dolphin! :)

I have done tickets with will call. Make sure that you have identification, and your confirmation number.

And I love the AAA parking at all the parks EXCPET Magic Kingdom! It's quite a hike from the parking lot to catch the monorail from the AAA lot.

And I'm very jealous you got to see Idina in Wicked. I have to wait for it to come to Toronto. ;)

We purchased our tickets on-line in 2003 (they're cheaper than at the gate).

Our 1st park that trip was MGM. We walked up to the ticket window & discovered they have a separate line for will-call. It was at the end of July. There was a line for tickets, but there was no line at will-call. We walked up, gave them our confirmation #, they gave us the tickets and we went on in.

Very simple, very painless. We're going to purchase our tickets on-line again for this trip (we're actually going to do that tomorrow).

This year we're staying off-property at Orange Lake Country Club. It just so happens OLCC now has a Disney Planning Center on site.

Located right here at Orange Lake (in the West Village Clubhouse lobby) for your convenience, the Disney Planning Center is staffed by Disney’s own Cast Members who will assist you with the purchase of tickets—plus provide you with special offers you can’t get anywhere else—not even at the Disney park gates!

I've checked with the DPC at OLCC and we can pick up our tickets at our resort and they'll be activated for us before we ever get to WDW!

Just make sure you take your confirmation number with you, as well as your picture ID. Also, the person who ordered the tickets has to be the person picking them up. Without the confirmation number, it can take a lot longer to find the tickets in the computer, print them up and get you on your way! :sunny:
