I had that sandwich in June, and the slaw was runny that day. I had that sandwich a couple years ago and considered it my all-time favorite counter service meal. The toasted bread was very crisp and everything tasted so good and fresh. This year, the bread was soggy -- tasted like it might have been made too far ahead. I would still try it again, though.
1 package Mann's broccoli slaw (it is shredded broccoli stems, a little red cabbage and carrots)
Dressing:
1 cup mayo (not the lite or low fat variety because it will separate)
1 T lemon juice
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 tsp salt
toasted sunflower seeds
seeded, chopped Roma tomato
1 cup frozen corn
Mix the dressing together in large enough bowl to hold the entire package of broccoli slaw, add the broccoli slaw and corn and toss. Garnish with sunflower seeds and tomato. Keep in the fridge until serving. It is best if prepared within an hour of serving.
Dressing works well for regular cabbage cole slaw too - but the broccoli slaw is my favorite.
