I try to like everyone but sometimes its near impossible. You must come to the United Kingdom sometime the countryside is so beautiful, and the people are so nice ( well most of them lol )

Oh I forgot to add, for the most part, all the people I met were very friendly and just wonderful. One night though, DH's cousin was asked, "Who is that girl you are with? She is awfully dark skinned." LOL, I am of Mexican and Lebanese descent, and I do have an olive skin-tone, but I was taken back by that comment. I guess in that little town they weren't used to "people like me."

By reading ALL of these threads, including the very tiny snips that you actually write yourself, I'd say that most of us have a much better grasp on the English language, thank you so very much.

PS - A wee update for you - British Airways has cancelled a flight to Saudi Arabia hours after grounding a Washington flight amid fears of a terror attack. Flight BA263 was due to leave for the Saudi capital Riyadh from London at 1330 GMT on Saturday.

The move follows the cancellation of the BA223 flight from Heathrow to Washington for the second day running.

I criticize were criticism is due now if that offends you i'm sorry but some of us live in the real world and mistakes are made and if we can learn from our mistakes wouldn't the world be a better place to live in. I have to agree with JJ having read the intire thread , and i do believe Jasmine resorted to name calling first.lol. Im almost certain JJ is not a troll.
What exactly is wrong with putting important news articles onto the board??? It is something that effects all of us who travel.
Jasmine do you never criticize your government or do u not want to end up in Guantanamo bay?? Your right though about one thing though and that is the fact our government has problems of its own to(im British btw) mainly following USA blindly where ever they go,but we have no fear of criticizing our government. As for opinion, what on earth do you mean. what opinion do you want expressed about the cancelation of flights , there is only 1 opinion possible and that it is unfortunate that this has to happen but it is necessary to prevent loss of life. If anyone disagrees with that let me know.

Brazilian police have started fingerprinting and photographing American tourists in reaction to tough new counter-terrorism measures being introduced for people entering the United States.

US immigration officials are to start fingerprinting and photographing people arriving by aircraft on January the 5th.

The aircraft from just 27 countries are exempt.

Visitors from the Middle East and North Africa have been fingerprinted since October.

Countries excluded are mainly European, as well as Australia, New Zealand and Singapore.

But Brazil is not, and a judge there who is outraged by the American action has ordered the tit-for-tat action.

More than 200 US visitors were pulled aside on the first day of operation.

Can you clarify what you mean by the U.S not being tough on terrorism and its preventing it not curing it. I dont want to get into a symantic debate about what preventing and curing is?

Hi,
When you first posted this post. I was clueless. I hadn't heard about it all day long. I am normally an avid news watcher. So I appreciated the news flash.

I'm not sure how this post seemed to get so "ugly".


I haven't said anything, and just kept reading the post. I enjoy reading Doc's post when she has posted on all the other threads. I love Dan, and always enjoy what he writes - Miss Jasmine, I don't think I have ever seen your post before - but that doesn't mean anything.

I personally don't think that what you posted was a attack on the USA - saying we aren't doing anything.

Okay, I think this thread as gotten way out of hand..

I've said my peace.. back to normal broadcasting..
