Brinks poll - what would you have done?

I think that:

  • I would have kept the money for myself

  • I would have kept the money but given it to my kids

  • I would have kept the money but given it to charity

  • I would have held it for awhile to see if they reported it missing

  • I would have turned it in and expected a reward

  • I would have turned it in expecting nothing

  • I never find anything, especially someone else's money

  • I found $20 in last week's jeans pocket

  • I had no idea money could be found

  • I'm a loser without a job or family and I search the couch cushions for change

Just heard this one on the news:

Two men find a Brinks bag in the road with $33K in it. They turned it in. Brinks doesn't even acknowledge them with a phone call.

What would you have done?

I would be sorely tempted...I really would. But in the end I'd have to turn it in. I would expect a reward though. Even a token one. That's just good PR for Brinks.

I didn't know you could find money like that. I"ve never found more than a couple cents on the ground. :(

I loose my glasses WHEN I AM WEARING THEM! I am never gonna find anything like that! lol :rotfl:

Well, I would have turned it in. I would feel too guilty to keep it, but I would expect a THANK YOU! There is no way you can know what's going to happen until you turn it in.

Let's say you keep it....Wouldn't they find out it was missing money if you started to spend it?

I really would be tempted that is for sure.

$33K? I doubt it if you're smart with it.

$3,300,000 would be a different story :rotfl:

I would be tempted, but to nervous that I would get found out and have lots of trouble, so I would turn it in, I do think that they should do something, even if it was just a thank you card.

I would have turned it in because I would be too afraid that there was a hidden camera watching me. ;)

I would have turned it in not expecting a reward, but really hoping for one. :) I would expect a Thank you though, and I think it's pretty crummy that Brinks didn't thank the guy.

Doesn't surprise me. My FIL worked for Brink's for years and the company does everything on the cheap. Even for their employees who have their lives on the line everyday. I would have turned the money in, definitely not expecting one red cent in reward money.

when I was in college I used to work at a public park. one of my jobs was picking up litter alongside the highway. I used to find $1 bills, sometimes even a $5 or a $10 sometimes. of course I kept it.

but a whole brinks bag? I'd be afraid they were marked bils, or that the contents were otherwise traceable, and I'd turn it in.

I'd hope for a reward, but I'd expect at least a "thank you."
