Brinkman Smoker

We have a Brinkman electric smoker and we love it. Just plug it in and add wood.

I have the electric one also, I think it gets to hot for smoking ribs and other meats as the internal smoker temp reaches 350 deg. but I like to cook/smoke at around 225-250deg other than that it's a nice smoker easy to clean (pieces fit in the dishwasher with top shelf removed). I did find a cake cooling rack that fits where the electric element sits so I can use wood or charcoals in the smoker.

Note:
I did learn how to smoke ribs on my Weber gas grill that are every bit as good as the ones I do in the smoker. (the temp is easier to maintain) and clean up is easy

We've had our electric brinkman since 1989. We use it quite a bit and love it.

I won the smoke and grill. no erectric cord.

I have used the Brinkman Smoke-n-Grill for many years, i love em. Small and light, perfect for the rv. Use plenty of charcoal and a full water pan, it will slow cook ribs, chicken, other smaller meats no problem. I cook a brisket for about 15 hours. I use a chimney charcoal starter to get more coals ready to add later when the heat drops way down. Then I add the hot coals through the door with tongs. Keep the temp in the lower part of the" ideal "range on the included temp gage , this is in the low 200 degree range. Put boiling hot water in the water pan to get the temp up to cooking faster, and don't let it run dry when smoking long time. If the water pan is dry the temp will rise quickly to over 300 degrees. Add a chunk of wood through the door every hour or so as needed. Thats about it, 30 years experience with the Brinkman. Happy cooking!:thumbsup2

Nothin' wrong with it.

I prefer the charcoal smokers just as I would prefer charcoal grills...better flavor but electrics do a good job.

I also use and like the side burner smokers as they cook slower but the water smokers do a fantastic job on chickens and keep the meats moist.

memorial day we shall christen the brinkman

We have the Brinkman non-electric smoker from Home Depot. DH can't ever get it hot enough to actually cook the food, so we smoke it and then put it on the grill. Maybe I should have gotten him the electric one instead.

Let us know how the food turns out.

either one of two things will happen

1. The fire department will come to the fort.
2. The pizza delivery guy will come to the fort.

I doubt either will happen! If one has to happen, I hope everyone enjoys the pizza. :rotfl2:
