Our trip is going to be in Dec. and we're bringing DD who will be turning 1 during our stay. What's the rule about bringing strollers on the plane? Is there anything special we have to do?

Also if anyone has any tips for our stay we'd LOVE that!! We don't want our little princess to miss out on anything!!
Thanks a ton:)

You can typically gate check your stroller without any issues. Bring a stroller cover/bag if you are worried about it getting damaged.

Only tip is to be flexible and go with the flow when travelling with little ones!

Enjoy planning and your trip -- December is a great time to go! We were at WDW this past Dec. with our two DDs, now 2 and 4. The 2 year old was 18 months and she loved everything about WDW.

Yes, you can just gate check it, when you get to the gate go to the counter and they will give you a tag. When you are getting on the plane you leave it at the door of the plane. Make sure you fold it!! the women at the counter said if you leave it unfolded and they can't figure it out....well....
Not sure if you are bringing the car seat on the plane, but we asked for a seat belt extender which made it easier to get it in.
Have fun, like PP said be flexible, relax and enjoy!!

I don't believe you can take the stroller onto the plane with you - there is no room to store it. Be sure to go up to the gate agent to get a Gate Check Tag filled out for the stroller. Put the elastic band portion of the tag on the stroller and keep the stub. They will typically instruct you to leave the stroller at the bottom of the jetway before you get onto the plane. You can keep your child in the stroller until that time but be aware that if you stop to take your child out and fold up the stroller there may be people behind you waiting to get on.

Once you arrive at your destination, they will bring the stroller out and leave it at the bottom of the jetway again, just outside the plane doors. Your wife and DD can keep going up and wait in a seat by the gate for you while you wait for the stroller to be brought out.

Also, just a note that you have to fold the stroller up and run it through the security check (provided it fits). If you have a sling it's often easier to carry your child and use your stroller for stuff than to be getting baby in and out!
