I thought that you were not suppossed to, but I just got back, & was told that within reason they did not care. So I brought raisins, cereal bars & our refillable mug from our resort. They even checked my bag upon entrance to the park, & no one acted as if I should not have these things.
We bring snacks and PB&J sandwiches and have never had a problem. If you do plan on bringing in food I would advise finding a place outside of the restaurants to eat unless they are empty or it is raining.
I think it's no problem bringing in any food or non-alcoholic drink that's not in a glass container in a small cooler. There may be an exception to this at AK. I don't think they allow carry-in food.
