Has anyone ever brought in their own sandwiches? We've brought in our own milk, water, juice and pretzels in the past to the parks without a problem. We rather keep the spending down. At times we will eat lunch, but when were at WDW we tend to eat light. We'd rather have one good, big meal. Also I would like to give my kids meals other than hot dogs and chicken nuggets. By the end of the week their bloated and constipated. Sorry I know that's gross, but this is a family board so you know... Anyway, I feel if we could bring a sandwich in from time-to-time this might help them.

Thanks!

We were there on Friday and sat by a family that brought a small soft cooler with sandwiches, etc. Seemed like it wouldn't be a problem.

Last year my backpack contained a small softside color with Sandwiches, fruit, other snacks and some juice boxes – one the goodies we gone it folder away nicely in my bag along with the reusable ice…..my son is a very picky eater so it works best for us in the parks…..

I see folks eating homemade sandwhiches all the time there. You are allowed to bring food in now so go for it.

Bringing food and beverages in to the parks were not an issue with us. All of our bags were inspected at the gates, without any questions. We did not have a hard sided cooler or glass containers, which i am fairly certain are not allowed. We mostly had items like: granola bars, fruit cups, drink boxes, etc.

On our last trip we were a decent size group (me, sister and our two cousins, each of us with our children), not only did having snacks, drinks, etc on hand save us money, it was a real timesaver too, sometimes a little one needed a drink right then and now, at times we werent close to a stand or if we were the line may have been long (as in too long for the little munchin to wait).

The benefits were many. lugging the items around was not an issue, since there were plenty of strollers to help carry the load!

We plan to do that a lot, especially when my parents are with us as my Dad can't eat any seasonings at all, so every time he eats out it's a lot of questions and explanations before he can risk to eat something. We won't do it as much when it's just DH, the kids and me, but we will likely bring our own bottles of water in and a snack so that we can eat light (including meal sharing at CS restaurants). We don't have a huge trip budget, so we're going to eat light and cheap often so that we can have a splurge meal or two.

Besides, I find that meals full of fat and large meals can really make you feel sluggish, and I don't want that on a Disney trip!

I have two small soft sided coolers. I am going to load one up with waters and drinks. We will eat breakfast in our rooms and bring sandwiches and snackes for lunch, dinner we will eat at a cs at the park. Trying to keep cost down, some days we will eat lunch at the park but mostly just eat sandwiches.
