We are on the boat!!! in a party of 8 - ages 17 to 55 (2 sets of parrents with 2 girls and 2 boys) this is going to be a blast!

We are all Castaway members as well as DVC members - Some of our group were on the return from LA last year have decided that were going to bring the magic home where ever she goes!!!

I would love to here from others - there were groups on the 05 trip we didn't think to get on here then but we are interested in info this time and set up to make new DisneyFriends

Welcome!

Since you are from my neck of the woods, what have you decided to do about Air?

Right now I'm getting DCL to arrange.

Hi Guys,

We booked this cruise on the 10 days Southern Carribean cruise. So It looks like we will be joining you. :thumbsup2

Steve, Michele, and Shelby

Hurray!!! But- where's the video for this Cruise, Steve? :rotfl2:

Seriously, can't wait to see you onboard as I really enjoyed your presence on the 10 day Wonder Cruise.

Hi - We are making the final arrangments this weekend as there are 8 of us - Our plan is: Rail from Toronto to NYC (for the adventure) then JFK to BCN by air of course
Ship back to Florida (of course) and our 2 cars will be at the peir as friends are driving down to WDW then they will be on the Wonder returning to Canaveral on Sunday - So were driving back (They are traveling in a large group and going to HiltonHead on there way but flying different directions from Orlando Labour Day weekend)

Were going to put our feet up at OKW till Monday then head home in the lighter post Labourday traffic. - so far thats the plan

Where are you from??

PS DCL will only do round trip and are looking for 800-1200pp US (JFK-BCN $299pp US)

I live right in Toronto! West End Girl! ;)

Yes, but what DCL is quoting also includes all transfers. There are only two of us travelling, DD14 and myself.

Was originally looking into fly with ZOOM and going to Paris but their schedule does not conicide with the time that I can take off.

Train to NYC, should look into that. Thanks for the idea!

We are in Brampton - the ground transfer is only $25pp one way. We were going to look at Paris but decided to take all the kids instead. We were going just the two couples but we are now 2 couples plus 2 boys 18 & 21 plus 2 girls 17 & 19

This trip wer are going to be 2 couples and 4 kids (not so much kids anymore, unless you say Disney) they are 2 boys 18 & 21 and 2 girls 17 & 19

Okay - PAGE ONE is finally updated :cool1: It's been nuts since I got back --

Still have to total up the # of people going - but I have all the names :goodvibes

Janet --

IF - you are seriously considering the train to NYC - try - Flycheapabroad.com for your tickets to PARIS  You have to be on the fool train to the port :lmao:

I've been pricing - either the 13th or 14th to fly out - and one way - travel to Paris is around $ 500 pp - $ 569 -- should land you on a non-stop via Delta - Visit there site and the times line up perfectly for those flights.

I haven't bought the tickets since we are waiting to find out if Belinda is going with us - but giving her mother a 2 week deadline.

Well, we are another step closer, we have booked flights from a local airport in the UK to bcn, arriving a little late for my liking (12.50pm on the Saturday), but it does leave at a sensible time in the morning. (9.20am). I have spoken to Dreams and they have advised that if you arrive at the port pre 4pm you will check in in the port, if you arrive post 4pm you will check in on the ship, and the life boat drill will most likely be Sunday prior to departure. I was a little concerned that we would HAVE to be there by 4pm as is usual and the times were pushing it a bit!

Now just need to decide what to do at the other end. Last time it was a bit of a scramble for the hire car courtesy coaches as of course almost no-one had a car at the port. We are considering either pre-arranging a taxi for one of us to go to the car hire place, or a limo to take us to Orlando somewhere.

Leave that for another day though.

I got my airfare and am going to Paris!  Now I just have to get to JFK from NJ but have plenty of time to think about that.

Can you post a link for the train information? I've seen it on this thread before, but can't find it now.

I guess I'm gonna have to find it too, when I do, I'll post!

What to do, What to do?

I Wanna Go To Paris!
I wanna go on the Choo Choo Train!

Ok, Ok, I'm working on it!

j

Were booked on air from JFK to BCN to arrive on Sat - so that means no DLP this year so were going to stay at WDW for a few days on our way home :wizard:

Gotta find the link for the train info -- will post it later.

For all the fools - that met my neice Belinda in Florida - last month - her parents have okayed her joining us for the trip :cool1:

Now I will need advise on the kids clubs (total newbie here on that). She will be 7 1/2 when we sail .

Dee - you will have to pass the message on to Keith. :goodvibes

Welcome Rwatterson! :wave2:

You can figure out from my username that we're neighbours! We were also of the Panama Repo back to Florida in August '05 with a lot of friends from the Net.

I'm travelling with my husband and daughter who will be 11 on this cruise. We're flying to Paris on Zoom on August 12, staying four nights at Holiday Inn ~ Disneyland Paris, then taking the Fools' Express to Barcelona.

Planning to enjoy WDW for a couple of days on the way home, then fly back to Toronto on Labour Day.

Enjoy the planning!!!!!

Arlene
