Bringing Food into Theme Parks.

I'm sure this has been posted elsewhere, but I'm in a rush now. Can we bring in food and drinks to the Theme Parks? With 9/11, I'm not sure if the security will not allow us to bring certain stuff in, etc. I hate to buy a bunch of food and then see it get thrown out, and then it costs us more money in food because of that. Any suggestions, etc? Thanks.

In April I brought in bottled water and the kids carried a few snacks--granola bars, fruit snacks, fish crackers, etc. No one said anything. I saw others eating PB and J sandwiches etc. so I don't think they are taking food away from anyone.

Official policy is not to bring your own food/drinks. However, no one is going to stop you unless you are dragging a wheeled cooler behind you. Security is looking for security risks. They won't say a word if you have a sack lunch in your backpack.

Just returned from WDW yesterday. I saw atleast 10-15 times, people eating sandwiches under shade. Twice I saw wheeled giant coolers. They do check your bags but it looked like they are not serious about outside food. It was extreeeemly hot. I would suggest taking an ice cooler or share a large coke ($2.50)

We were there during Easter. We brought in two soft sided coolers that fit under the stroller. We had sandwiches, water bottles, cans of soda, and various snacks in the coolers. We also put a frozen juice cooler and a snack in each of the kids fanny packs. Security checked inside every cooler/bag/fanny pack. FYI-it is faster to put things in see-through plastic bags, because they don't have to open those. We used plastic grocery bags for some things and they were able to look through the bags. Have fun!!!
