I've never done it a Universal and I'm sure it's not allowed officially, but I'd like to know if I can bring sandwiches and soda cans in a small cooler(bacpack type).I know it's done at the Disney parks,is Universal stricter? tia:sunny:

Not a problem! I wouldn't bring a big picnic, but nobody has ever said anything to me about bringing in snacks and drinks. Your sandwiches may get squished so maybe put them in containers to avoid that. We bring crackers, string and bon bel cheese, cashew and peanut packets, etc. Also fruit and juice boxes.

My parents have brought in Publix subs and 24 oz bottles of Pepsi with them without putting them in anything (in plain sight). They had no problems that I am aware of. :) We bring sodas quite often, to cut down the costs of fountain drinks (and the fact we like Pepsi more than Coke ;) lol).

I saw one group who had a 2-liter of Mountain Dew in their backpack. :p Again, no problem.

I sometimes bring snacks, though rarely. I never had problems with this though. We had brought fruit, which I believe is officially allowed anyway...?

Save your back..the food and drinks at universal are so much more reasonable than at disney. They even have sales on bottled water when it is warm outside.

I take a little 6 drink collapsible cooler and stuff it with drinks and finger food, its never been a problem.
