Bringing Food Into the Park

It's interesting about the inconsistency! Last year, we stayed concierge at DLH. The CMs in the lounge heaped bottles of water and snacks on us, telling us to take them into the park. That is what they were stocked for. We never had any question at the check station. At one time, DH was carrying 8 bottles of water in the backpack for 4 people. I think that they just don't want people bringing so much food in that will take away from a group buying food in the park. As for the food allergy, they have to let you take whatever food in that you need.

After looking over the prices of food, pretty much every single thing on any menu within the DLR is outrageously priced. O-U-T-R-A-G-E-O-U-S-L-Y(x10) priced!!! So for our next trip, I plan on making a visit or two to the local grocery store and stalking up on more reasonably priced food. My gf and I both carry backpacks while at Disney, so we'll have plenty of room to store plenty of food. I just hope they don't say anything when they search our bags and find (Per bag) two sandwiches, a bottle of water, multiple energy bars, trail mix, gummys, gram crackers, top ramen, 1 apple, 1 bannana.

Kinda seems like a lot per person, but there's no way I will willingly pay those godawful criminal prices. :snooty:

There was another thread on this last year, but you can bring in food. We always bring in sandwiches and healthy snacks. I am a runner and try to watch my calories and eat cleanly as much as I can and by bringing in my lunch I can monitor that better. They have always looked inside our lunch box, but have never not allowed our lunches and water bottles.

I'm going to bring my rolling cooler and a Weber grill... I'm gonna set it up on the grassy area near the castle... Rib eye steaks anyone? :thumbsup2
