We usually eat breakfast in our room, pack a meal into the park, and then eat one in the park. We are staying in a condo with a full kitchen, so will have access to a fridge and whatnpt. I can't see us eating PB & J or turkey sandwiches everyday. Anyone have any good ideas of foods that are easy to eat in the park (no tupperware for salads, for example) and that can be eaten cold? Cold pizza? Sushi? Anyone?

all I can suggest is to change up the bread each day....
regular 2 slice sandwich
bagel
wrap or tortilla
crackers
roll

lunchables? cheese sticks, gogurts, granola bars, stuff like that, we kinda would turn it into a meal

I brought dried fruit, nuts, jerky, granola bars, those small chip packets, and lots of crystal light packets for the water.

I was gonna say that I know "the teenagers" love to just take crackers with cheese, summer sausage, or that canadian bacon or pepperoni slices you put on pizza. Add some chips or fruit and some kind of drink and they're good.

Although they are just as happy to eat PB&J for a few days. lol

Mine would be really happy with wraps, especially the salsa ones we make at home. Hmmm.. maybe that's what I'll make for the drive up.

Brie and pear or apple slices on buttered baguette. Portable, yummy and different. Pita or bagel with hummus, feta, cucumber, tomato and lettuce.

I like to take popcorn into the park because it's light and easy to carry.

Have a great trip!

I personally like the cold pizza idea, the slices fit easily in big ziploc bags and in collapsible coolers, I may have to do this one day....thanks for the idea!

I buy Kellogg's breakfast bars, they are 90 calories, and Little Deb's Star Crunch, and nuts.

We mixed up our sandwich fixings when we went in Nov. Ham, turkey, roast beef, we brought lettuce and tomato separately so they didn't make our sandwiches soggy. The kids wanted PB&J so we did that, too. Also, bagels and cream cheese. We had carrots and celery sticks, apple slices and grapes. We refilled our water bottles at First Aid or Tomorrowland Terrace or Rancho, or we got cups of ice water and refilled our bottles.

It was a really refreshing way to do lunch since we felt we had healthier food and we had fruits and veggies and then it didn't really matter that our littler kids wanted nuggets and burgers for dinner since we knew they had had healthy breakfast (in room) and healthy lunch.

We ate at the tables at Rancho one day and the tables at Tomorrowland Terrace and watched Jedi Training and we ate in the food area in DCA over by the Pacific Wharf Cafe. We never had any trouble finding a nice spot to sit and eat.

Tuna, hard boiled eggs, bagels and cream cheese, leftover KFC. This works if you have a cold pack to put next to it or it's not hot. I wouldn't do this in August
