If I was to purchase Starbucks Coffee on my layover (at the airport) will I be able to bring it on my flight??

I brought milk & muffins for my DGD last year to eat on the plane. I think for a while security was concerned about someone slipping a knife or whatever in coffee cups, but the last I heard they're back to letting people on with thier drinks.

Since you will already be through security during your layover, you should have no problems bringing any food or drink onto the airplane.

All items have to be stowed during takeoffs and landings. Food and drinks aren't a problem but an opened cup of coffee might be a problem. Worse case you may have to finish the coffee befoe takeoff.

We always bring food on our flights and have never had a problem.

You never know with flights any more. We always take airport food and drink in sealed containers on the planes. Have never had a problem, even DH when he just held the styrofoam dinner container on his lap.
From Houston to MCO, DH had a rib dinner! And don't think those around him didn't envy him! ;)
I don't know why more passengers don't take their own food. I had one lady that did everything from hint to almost drool over my food.

Sorry to interrupt, Luv2Roam, I just sent you a PM. Okay, back to regular programming....

I saw someone bring their coffee in a leak proof travel mug/thermos. The airline didn't object.

That settles it then, I will be getting my Starbucks (Frappacino) on our layover. I will need it to help me wake up since I will have been up for about 24 hour by then.

I didn't figure there would be a problem, since I wasn't brining in from "the outside."
